Tellurium - Lunar Eclipse

There really is only one piece to wear when it is a full moon and a lunar eclipse.

Description of functions and how to read the Tellurium.
Sun is at 12 o’clock. Cloisonné enamel earth rotates once every 24 hours anti-clockwise to match earth rotation and is set to GMT, time hands set to local time. Moon dial rotates around the rotating earth cloisonné anti-clockwise to match moon rotation every 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, 2.9 seconds and rotates on it’s own axis to always show area being lit by the sun. Moon at 12 is a new moon, moon at 6 is a full moon, 9 is a waxing moon and 3 is a waning moon. Area above the Wire across earth shows area lit by sun, North Pole currently in permanent darkness (January). Wire at maximum deflection up is the shortest day (Northern hemisphere), wire at maximum deflection down is longest day, straight wire is equinox with equal length day and night. Right half of earth shows sunrise as the earth rotates anti-clockwise past the wire, left half of earth shows sunset at the earth rotates past the wire. Dragon hand shows eclipses - dragon hand and moon at 12 is a solar eclipse, dragon hand and moon at 6 is a lunar eclipse. It’s also a World time watch and a perpetual calendar with zodiac. The calculations used are accurate to 1 day in 144,000 years.

One of my absolute favorite pieces.

I'll have to pick up one of these some day.

Thank you for sharing!
