It’s not about a watch, it’s the fact that you ignore people trying to help you. You are a lamprey.

Guys hello. It’s a time ago but I did something brave last year, I sent the watch to Geneva to Rolex direct for a “service”. All my friends said don’t do it but I did.

What you think what was the response (after around 3 month)?

Curious what your opinion is, what you guess :-)

I’ll take the 288gto (I think as fuzzy in depth of field) to the left of your watch, even if it’s got a load of service parts too !

The reply from Rolex probably went something like this....

"in the late 70's a breakaway group of rebel Rolex technicians decided to create a monster..."

This piece smells of something brought to the market by Luke Rottman and authenticated by Robert Maron

OK, the watch was sent to Geneva to Rolex and they proofed that all is real and done by them back in the past, so they made me an offer to “restore” and service the watch. If something would be not real or official they don’t make an offer to service and restore, this is known.

So it is a unique watch, one of a kind.

How much did they quote?

What needs to be restored?

I don't understand. By quote I meant the price of the total service. What do you mean by it? And 28k for a service?

I think this whole this isn't funny. Threads like this waste peoples time and don't help educate and grow a community. So to help you along - I don't believe you. I think this thread should be locked and you should consider how you add to the forum in the future.

Awesome, you have a unique one of a kind piece worth at least six figures. Have it serviced and enjoy. Move on then nothing left to see here.
