Rolex Tudor 7928 Opinion Please

Hi all

Would appreciate views on this.

For sale at a local jewellers for around £8000 gbp

Wondered whether it seemed like a good deal. No box/papers.

Hope someone can offer insight. Sorry i know pics are not brilliant

Hi,

I do not have much knowledge about Tudor 7928 but I can tell you the second hand is not right, insert is not neither.
Dial, even before wondering wether it is genuine, or period correct is not attractive (I do not like the condition of the lume)
If this is the reference you are looking for, do some research on it, and wait for a correct one to show up.
If it’s just this one that caught your attention and you don’t feel like doing some research, I would not pay 8000£

Kind Regards,

Thanks for the info. It was the bezel that caught my eye. Is it a milsub or am i being a bit stupid?

I have no expertise at all in milsub inserts, but I would not think it is one :)

Dial is later and insert is fake. And as previously mentioned the seconds hand is something else. You could score a better piece for 8k.

As stated above...insert is fake/repro, dial suspicious, no bracelet...overpriced.

If you're looking for this particular model of Tudor you need to do some serious homework.....incredible amount of fake/franken examples out there, imho I would only buy from a trusted reputable seller/expert.

good luck

The above mentions info is all correct: Service dial, aftermarket insert, way wrong sweep

£8k - I can find you something far nicer

Almost criminal to ask eight grand GBP for this mish-mash. They're taking the p*ss.

Have to agree with the comments on this one someone is having a laugh asking 8 grand for that,I see you are in the uk have you checked out The Old Watch Shop? Mike always has a good selection and he has got some old Tudor subs in at the moment that are way better than the one you show.

Be quick
There is a very nice one I am desperately wanting to own!!
Seriously this guy is a proper gentleman and in the UK one of very few people I would deal with for vintage Tudor

Not a MilSub.
Great watch but not genuine (aftermarket parts).
Maybe the price is too high although this is still a great watch to have within a collection.
