Thanks for your warm welcome! As for my avatar, to me Michael is, well, a legend. Now that I have tried the watches on, its time to start the research on the best deal from an AD. Hope to join "the club" soon! |

Wow, 15% off MSRP from an AD, really?! Is this possible in the US? I have a trip scheduled to Vegas in the end of May, and was hoping to make my purchase during the trip (not in Vegas, as I have heard it is a terrible place to find good deals on new Rolex watches, but maybe buy from an AD in another state and have it shipped to me). |

Don't believe the [internet] hype. Buy the watch that fits you the best in terms of personality, lifestyle, workplace etc.

Welcome Kaue.
I also chose the DSSD over the SubC. Then I really wanted the Sub and ended up selling the DS. I love both but couldn't justify owning both at the same time.
The DS is a great choice and you will find it wears quite comfortably for a watch that size. Big congrats on a great watch!!! |

Look at the frigging crown guardson the DSSD .... holy dang .... makes the subc's guards look like they are shaved off .... or maybe it is just the angle of the picc...

I also feel that even though they are very different watches, with different niches and personalities, at the end of the day both are SS black sport divers with white markers from Rolex, so in my head there is a strong similarity as well. This is why I think that if I ever was in a position to own both, I would go for a TT sub, along with the DSSD. That would make quite a pair! Cheers, Kauê |

The DSSD is HUGE! IMO the Sub C is much better balanced. Who really needs to dive to 3900m anyway?!

i own the deepsea and it is simply awesome, it makes the sub lv i bought for my wife feel girly. Both are great watches u cannot go wrong. i love watches that are heavy and have wrist presence and my wrist is 6 1/2 inches!
Why not buy from here in the for sale forum and have it shipped to your hotel? i have done this on a few occasions. Many trustworthy sellers here like mosco, davidsw, bodybump etc they can get u the best price period.

Based on my pre disposition regarding the two, I believe the sub to be better for the wrists of most. But again, that is simply my opinion. To each his own, and whichever makes you happiest should be on what you base your decision.
Enjoy whichever you choose to it's fullest. |

They both look great, I will go against the grain and say get the DSSD I had one, flipped it and now I miss it again The size of the 40mm is much more comfortable IMO but the clasp on the DSSD just about makes up for it, it is so amazing
Good luck and let us know what you decide on

I would say DSSD - it's a great looking watch, and truly a marvel from an engineering perspective....on top of that (and this is important to me), you won't see it on everyone's wrist everywhere you go - a big selling point!
I like your idea of having the DSSD be your first, and a TT Sub later! Good luck with your choice. |

I say DEEPSEA but then I would because that's the one I chose. To make the best decision, you need to listen to your heart. If you go with your head, you will always regret not getting the other one.

Thanks for the additional input, guys.
Since I first posted this thread, I have decided to also go a little bit against the grain and get the DSSD. I am very excited by it and it will be done in my upcoming trip to the US in june. As soon as it happens, there will be pics. Oh, there will be lots of pics! |

From the photos the Deepsea looks awesome. Based on the comments here, I would make sure the height is not a problem.

Wow, they both look great on you. Even though the SD is larger, with your wrist size it looks nice. So, go with with the one that felt like a second skin to you.
