DeepSea question

I have owned my DeepSea for about 18 months now. I was adjusting the date the other day when February changed over into March, and I noticed that my date did not change over at midnight. As a matter of fact it changes over at around 9 am/pm depending on how it set it.

Is this a defect, or can I re-adjust my watch so the date changes over at midnight. Being a watch novice, this seemed strange.

What seems strange to me is that you would use the hands to change your date.. It has a position to click through all the dates in about 2 seconds..

In any event, it is supposed to snap over at or about midnight. If yours does not, it is not a defect, it is simply a matter of where the watchmaker put the hands on.. It has no affect on the watch what-so-ever, but if it bothers you, it can be fixed under your warranty. The only fix is to take the movement out, take the hands off and then put them back on at the proper position..

thanks for the info

It seems to me a watch that costs 10K would not have such an oversight. Its doesn't bother me enough to send it in and be without it for a month, but its a bit disappointing considering Rolex quality.

You may consider looking for a Rolex AD that has a watchmaker on site. You could discuss the issue with him and possibly have it back the next day.

Didn't think about the massive depth rating. Good point.
