I don't think that amount of stretch compromises the band or the comfort. Like looking watch for that age.

To me if it is a double click vs single click would be more important than the amount of stretch in photo.

BTW, is it double quickset or single quickset? Pay less if it is single quickset.

If there are no dents or dings in the bracelet that is a good deal.

7.4k sounds like a fair price, band is in mighty good shape considering the age of the watch, go for it!

What my point is? Let me see if I can clarify it for you. Since the early 60's I have owned 14 YG DD's, 5 WG DD's, 3 Platinum DD's and probably 20 YG Subs. With the exception for 10 watches (that I bought in various used conditions) they were all, when sold in almost mint condition. The longest I've owned a DD is 17 years (1803) and it looked like new without any stretch when it left for the new owner.. Rolex makes the Presidential bracelet to last a lifetime and IMHO they do with regular maintenance (soap and water) and of course without abuse. If you have a different experience please share it with us. |

it has about 40% stretch but once it sits on the wrist you will not see that and it will be ok...go for it

Wow MonBK ..... double spaced and everything. I feel humbled in the presence your obviously superior Rolex experience. I'm not sure I can go on with life but I'll try. I assume you used a regulary calibrated gap guage to check that your DD bracelet was "without any stretch" when it left for it's new owner. As for your last question. Yes I've had a different experience other wise I wouldn't have shared my opinion with the OP in the first place. I didn't say everyone would look like the one in the picture. Now go ahead a show me more of that friendly, accepting manner of yours. I do so enjoy it. |

Not much stretch in that at all. Go with it if the price is right.

I'm not well versed on "stretch", but if you're second guessing the watch, search elsewhere. I'd hate for you to buy the watch and regret it.
Maybe you can use the stretch as a bargaining tool, or even possibly get them to swap the bracelet for one with less stretch. GL with whatever choice you make. |
