Caliber 3186 and 3187
If Rolex decided to put calibre 3187 inside a GMT-Master II does that mean the watch will be sporting a 42mm case ? Or will Rolex just going to put the paraflex in the calibre 3186 ?

3187 will not fit inside GMT II case. The main plate is too big. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Right now paraflex is put into movements using larger plates and so they would need to down-size the design, or machine the current cases, to accept the larger movements.

How much "better" or "shock proof" is the 3187 compared to the 3186 then?

Functionally, the movements are the same.

Oh okay, so it might just be a different material who can or cannot be better?
Basically the same with the 3185 vs 3186? |

Lost one of them paraflex springs today, sneaky little buggers if they decide to get airborne.

We need someone to do a crash test to figure out how much better they really are!
I will offer myself to take over a broken GMT Master 2 - 16710 afterwards! |
