You guys are so impatient!

I am a little surprised at the negative reaction to the 44s. I think when people see them in the flesh some will change their minds. At only 50 pieces each I suspect they will be tough to get.

in truth part of it is the let down of the reissue original ROO being an edition of 50 which was quite the gut punch. Had it not been for that i may have been more open to the idea of something else way out of left field, not that i would personally be in the market for one of those anyway.

They're growing on me, and I imagine they look better on person. Though, as you suggest, my opinion is unlikely to matter as they will be near impossible to get.

AP had some great, great offerings last year. I think they've earned the benefit of the doubt after the openworks, the new ROCs, the Summer/Byblos edition, the other new 44s and the ceramic perpetual.

They always have some headscratchers like lime green tourbs, but let's not throw the book away after reading the first line of print.

Always was a fan of the original and it's nice to have an opportunity to pick it up new.

The price is a bit off putting but the design is wonderful.

The other two are just ....

These two overpriced models look absolutely hideous. How they even allowed the design to go through the first stage is beyond my comprehension. Some of the newer Hublot models are getting more attractive while AP is just heading south.

AP openworks are such beautiful pieces of art.

IMHO they took this one too far.

the cut out along bezel screws bug me and the turbine within the case doesn't match with the rest of the watch.

it looks like AP commissioned Hublot to design this

I don't think this will be the AP news for 2018
But I really think it's time for a ceramic bezel on AP ROO 42 series

Those 2 "crazy" ones are for sure 44mm right? For some reasons a lot of the pages I've read all say that they're in 42mm cases. Probably just a typo?

thats what i was wondering. It says 42 but they look a bit bigger than the 42mm original reissue ROO in the pics

If you look at the detail on the rubber strap it's a 42 strap.

ill take your word for it. My eyes can't focus. Too much going on with the case and dial.

That's true. But perhaps it's a more "close up" shot than the pic of the re-issue piece? Who knows.

I see what you're saying. The rubber straps seen in those pics do not have the grooves which curve inward as seen on the 44mm style rubbers. If they're indeed 42mm, that would mean some kind of compatibility with the SS bracelet? Would be cool...if you're into the look of the watch but I sense that is not the case up in here. hahaha

The tourbillon chrono has too much going on. Seems like AP is trying to hard to be avant garde, IMHO.

If it is 42 then the rose gold version with the full rose gold bracelet would be my choice.

With those pushers it ought to be 44, if they are mixing these up could it mean a 42 ceramic?

To mee it looks ugly. It differs too much from the genta design. And hard to believe its 42 mm since the original is 44 mm. My question is where is the crystal? Is it on top of the screws?

There may be hope that not all 3 are editions of 50. The tourbillons are both specifically mentioned as 50 but its not specifically stated the re-issue is 50 as well. That would make more sense anyway, and im hopeful at least

Also if the spec is correct either it uses a different strap or the AP tech team have built the image with a strap off a 42mm

Not officially listed as a LE.

But then again neither was the Special Edition ROC and it was just recently they added the "edition of 500" to the website.
