Wow that is really interesting. You have done the opposite of me. I had a new 2013 Multistrada Pikes Peak for 3 years. It was a great bike, but for my purposes it was just physically too big and high off the ground, so I was on tippy toes at every set of traffic lights. However, it was a joy to ride, and super comfortable. So I sold it and went for the Monster EVO 1100 which is a lot smaller and managable around town. I also like the 'cafe racer' look. Safe travels!!!

The latest and probably the last. There is not another bike out there that you could give me unless I could sell it and get another one of these.
Especially when my daughter wants to come along. Turns a great day into a perfect day.

Rigid frame, girder front end and the sound of a Shovelhead thru a set of straight pipes. What's not to love

Recently sold my bike. I need to find a few pictures - Harley VROD 100th Anniversary. It was fast and nice to look at!

I went down to the beach today.
I got a new muffler on my bike today, I fitted it myself ...the muffler is by a company called Competition Werkes - made in the USA, so I hope it doesn't damage my bike or fail for poor workmanship Diesel-Werkes-20-1-18.jpg Diesel-Werkes2-20-1-18.jpg Diesel-Werkes3-20-1-18.jpg

Looks excellent Stav.
Is that a removable baffle insert? How does it sound?

Looks good Steve. I bet it is loud.
Did you change the fuel map? If so, it will be fine. Also, does this delete the exhaust flapper valve? I can’t tell from the pics. There is a way to fool the ecu into thinking it is still there if you have a check engine light after removing that valve. |

One reason I got this slip-on as it provides the best system I could find for tuning the sound level. One can ride it without the baffle, or one can screw in via 3 retaining Allan screws a baffle, further, I plan to wrap the baffle with stainless steel wool matting. Here is a video of the different sounds/options: The sound is deep and thumping at idle, it is its loudest under heavy acceleration, but is not so loud when cruising at 3-4,000 RPM. It does sound just a little on the loud side with the baffle installed, but its great that people can notice my presence on the road. For some reason car drivers seem to give a lot more respect to motorbikes that sound loud with a deep thumping note Since the photo I removed the rear passenger foot rests, and that makes the bike look all the more better IMHO. The flapper valve (stock) is retained so there is no problem. I bought a relatively new product called "Rapid Bike EASY" which is a plug in device that one can set to adjust fuel/air intake. The reviews on the product are awesome with noticeable power gains and smooth acceleration at the bottom end of the rev range. The advantage is that it affects the 'closed loop' section of the engine range so it provides more fuel right from idle up to about 5,000 rpm. This is something that Power Commanders cannot do. I get that installed on Tuesday. http://www.dimsport.it/en/rapidbike/easy/ At the moment there is quite a bit of popping on de-acceleration at times, and it is uncomfortable cruising at under 3,200rpm. Hopefully the Rapid Bike module will sort this out. We'll soon find out.

Sounds good without the baffle Stav.
I had a look at the dimsport link. They sure run them lean in stock form now with these EU 3 & 4 requirements. That O2 interface should sort it out. It's an interesting approach to stop the O2 sensor from leaning out the mixture at cruising throttle. They us know how it performs.
