Daytona -pusher broke off

So this just happened.....No drops, no abuse, I picked it up from it's microfiber towel and the pusher fell off.

How bad is this repair, the watch only 3 months old......somewhat bummed.

The same thing happened to my Black Bay. I took it to RSC in Beverly Hills and they fixed it for free. Came back with a cool Tudor black pouch and cleaning cloth.

Oh wow

Never seen this issue before!

Hoping it’s a quick one at the RSC. Unsure if there is anything they need to do for WR though.

So much for a highly overpriced and hyped watch.

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this posted on a gold Daytona, never on a SS version. Kind of sucks to have it happen but will be an easy fix.

the precious metal is press-fit onto the stainless core.

It's an easy fix for the RSC.

Wow, that undermines my confidence, we expect our Rolex to be a tank in all respects. I don’t want some cheap accessories, I want reliability. Hope you get this fixed without much inconvenience.

That's great news thanks Larry! Does that mean the case doesn't have to be opened? I found the spring too.

I'm one that feels, once it's apart, it never goes back together EXACTLY as the factory fit.

Doesn’t engender a lot of confidence in the brand.

The pusher actually unscrews from the case and can be replaced completely, which is what I would expect the Service Center would do.

It is possible that the pusher cap was pushed off by screwing the lock down too tight. The locks should never be tight
After a quick search, I see this isn't the first time seen, like a poster said above...Particular the WG model.

I really don't think it was too tight but if you think that might be a possibility I'll keep it in mind in the future.

Anyone know if the RCS in NY has reopened yet?

Not much can be done at the moment.....

Thanks again Larry

Wow, sorry this happened especially on a watch so new. Hope it’s as quick a fix as it seems. I’ve seen this before particularly on the WG model, is this a known issue?

I can’t say for sure about RSC but I do live in NY and nothing in the city is supposed to be opening up yet.

Happened to brand new APs too, 2-3 cases in the last year or so.

This has happened more than you think with the Daytona on the forum. It’s a quick fix but a easy freak out moment when it fails like that and has to go back to RSC.

Nice try. It's a gold / SS interface issue that is rather common on the PM Daytona and not present in the SS-only watch you're attempting to criticize.

Recently there's been a couple break this way posted on the forum and both were white gold. Seems OP found this also. Only RSC can put actual data to it. Not a winning streak at any rate.

If I owned one I wouldn't panic but just not snug the pushers so much.

"Press fit'' anything doesn't give me confidence that it will stay in place.Cheap engineering. Like glued in place !

That's it. I'm selling my Rolex watches and buying Omega or Grand Seiko! For the price we pay you expect nothing to ever go wrong. Ever. Here's hoping nothing has ever gone wrong with an Omega, or GS!

Oh, OP, I hope you get it sorted quickly!

The links on most Rolex watches are a ‘press fit’.

Have a go at pulling one apart.

I have confidence in them.
