I say let's fire it up!
or if you get too hot... and some random ones... or if you like flora better.... And since it is late and I have to go to bed, I will leave you with a smile.

Thanks for kicking this thread into gear, Amanda. All the photos are fantastic. I have some I took in the UK a few years back that are pretty good. I'll try to dig them out and post shortly.
Again, beautiful pics!!!

Great pics, guys Keep them coming
I'm terrible at this, but I'll give it a shot. Here's a couple of old ones from last summer. This is one of the bridges leading into the city This one is of mid-town Atlantic City. It looks so peaceful and quiet from 1500feet.

Yeh I got bitten a few years ago! I have to say tho my ability is really lacking.... and I realise that when I see what shots everyone else is taking. I need more practice and need to develop my post processing skills. Everything I post is straight out of the camera with no PP at all. Thanks everyone, the photos are absolutely stunning. We have alot of skilled people on this forum for sure... come on keep posting your favourite photos people!!!!! |

I must say, I've really moved away from photoshop for processing tasks. The non-destructive workflow of lightroom is pure genius, and the controls are far more intuitive and easy to comprehend for a visual person. give it a go

It's a lot more travel-friendly, less cumbersome & unwieldy than a full tripod. I find that a lot of the lighter weight aluminum tripods are pretty crappy, especially with a hefty camera on top. But, I know that manfrotto do a range of carbon fibre or tripods, which might do the trick.

I normally agree with Otis about travel tripods but this Slik is so small and light...fits EASILY in a backpack. |

Some great pictures guys two of my favourites that bring back fond memories. This was Dell my Eagle a large and very powerful bird loved to fly and hunt, but always quite friendly he died about 3 years ago.
This was taken several years ago on 35mm film my Eagle Owl had to give up my raptor keeping. But the owl is still alive and has a new mate down at the owl sanctuary.

Hi Otis,
Do you have a link to the lightroom beta? I've been shooting JPEG usually, but since I've got a bigger CF, I can try using JPEG+RAW with my D70. I'd like to try this SW. Thanks, Vernon Quote:

I'm pretty certain this is it since I recall that I didn't want anything to carry any very heavy lenses...just a pano lens + body.

Vernon...I shoot Nikon and I really recommend trying the free trial of Nikon Capture. Shoot raw + jpg and just pull up the raw file in Capture and you will be astounded as to what you can do.
