Hiscox. The acid test for insurance obviously comes when it’s time to claim. Thankfully I haven’t had to, but I have to say that they are almost a pleasure to deal with. No itemisation, no requirements for a safe, no silly restrictions on cover, no holding on the line trying to get through to someone when you need to talk to them.

The added challenge of course is in actually sourcing and replacing some models even if the insurance company has already paid out, or doing so without having to pay way over the mark?
