Thank you fellas, hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. Honestly, I had my mind blown; I lost focus so many times and I ended up scrolling through the aisles like a headless chicken and taking pictures when I could remember.

It was at Kame-Kichi where I eventually stumbled upon something unexpected and made me whip out my credit card for a purchase. For the uninitiated, most stores have prices before and after tax. As a tourist, you're eligible for tax exemption, which saves you some money. Most of the shops at Nakano Broadway will impose a 3% surcharge if you pay via credit card. Are prices negotiable? Highly unlikely, but I suppose there is no harm asking. No surcharges if cash transaction. |

I’ve visited Jack Road and many other vintage shops in Tokyo. Jack is a great store and Tokyo is great for vintage watch shopping. But, prices are very high compared to the US, and many watches in inventory are sourced from the US because they are cheaper. (I was hoping to find a vintage Rolex originally sold in Tokyo).

Great post thanks for sharing. Wow, so amazing all those watches. It's amazing that somebody has brought that many together.

At first I set out to hunt for a Speedmaster 3594 Replica, but after going through most of the shops at Nakano Broadway, did not come across any. However, I did find a NOS Tintin, so that was what I decided to bring home (FOLO - fear of losing out!). It was a close fight between a vintage 145.022 and the Tintin, but watch only vs BNIB full set was what helped to sway my decision.
As fate would have it... we moved from our Airbnb in Waseda to a hotel in Shinjuku (which was easier to get access to the airport when we left). Shinjuku area has many preowned shops with new and used luxury goods. Naturally, we spent some time trawling through them as well... and one of them actually had the Replica! You know how the story goes... |
