15450 price

Old news I know but can someone tell me why the 15450 has gone up so dramatically please? Also, what was the exact old price in £ please?

Probably to balance margin rate vs other models...

Yeah it went up huge, I have one expected in the summer if not before but the rise is making me question the purchase.

Previous UK RRP: £16,100.00

New UK RRP as of January 2020 : £18,900.00

The notes I was sent from the AD detail 15% increase

Horrible.

Their new strategy seems to be extreme exclusivity. Which I guess makes sense but also seems a bit too much of a rise particularly for that one with no upgrades to justify the increase

AP decided "oh men want to wear this now?" Charge them more.

The recent rise was inconsistent across the steel references with some only having 3-4% rise, it feels as if they are chasing the grey market pricing and matching with RRP.

Good for previous owners but for future customers the price just keeps going up up up!

Look at the 38mm chrono vs 41mm chrono prices. Pretty much identical because smaller size becoming more popular

Texted my SA thanking her for selling me the blue one.

You can get a blue dial from a grey dealer now for the same price as a white or grey dial from boutique. Surprising to be honest

For those that own one and have owned or currently own Rolex - what’s the equivalent model in the Rolex line up in terms of ‘specialness’?

I own two 15450’s (one blue and one silver dial).

In terms of Rolex, I have a 116519LN, 126710BLRO, and a 116600. I’ve previously owned a 16600, 116710, 116710BLNR, 116500 and a 116613LB.

The only Rolex that I’ve had that comes close to feeling as special as the 15450 is the White Gold Daytona, and even then, the AP is different gravy.

Just my view of course.

not sure what you mean, blue dials were 23kish before the price increase. i got my white dial for 19.3 1 week before the increase and since then there's been 1 listing for a 15450 white at 18.5 which makes no sense (unless it was sold at a price that wasn't updated). i assume these will now be going for 20+ once they start popping up

A friend of mine is selling his blue dial 15450 for £18k. 2018 but serviced in 2019 by AP in readiness for sale. Full set. I think that’s a good deal. What are your thoughts?

pretty decent deal i would say. that's pretty much what preowned blue dials were going for before the increase. can't really imagine it being the same price now but you can always email a grey dealer here and see how much a blue dial would run you today

26331 chrono is now £26.2k! That feels like a serious bump higher!

10% discount...

My AD offered no discount when we discussed putting my name down but I asked about the AP Chrono wall clock and that maybe something I get.

17.5% increase for the 15450 here in Singapore. yet to see anything else increase as much from any other brand or model. Chasing the grey market prices seems like what they are doing, but that's just for the blue dials. the silver and grey dials are just left behind and are now going for below retail...

I think the Nautilus 5711 had a 20%+ increase a while ago.

Anyone know the new Canadian price for the 15450? Was the price increase also 15%?
