New Yacht Master sometimes stops

I bought a new Yacht Master in mid-June. I sometimes don't put on a watch until the afternoon and then wear it to about 10 PM. In the past six weeks, it has stopped twice after sitting overnight. Last night, I wore it until about 10:15 and it stopped at 7:25 AM. Any suggestions other than selling it and buying a quartz watch?

Wind it up properly....40 turns of the crown away from you.

Sounds like you’re not wearing it enough to keep the main spring wound.

Just because you are wearing it don't mean you are winding it,it's wrist activity that winds the watch.Try giving your watch a full manual wind thats 40 full crown turns clockwise only. And even when worn no harm to give your watch a wind say once a week to keep mainspring at peak power.

Sounds like I need to play a set of tennis or a round of golf, with the watch on, at least once a week. Apparently, a Rolex is not for couch potatoes.

All automatic watches need sufficient turns of the rotor or winding stem to fully wind the mainspring.

Designed for yacht racing (irrelevant I know, although that'd keep it fully wound), it's not meant for a sedentary lifestyle, which is why I always wear mine when driving.
