New SS DJ 36mm:A Huge Possibility for 2019

They’ve already started the new Lugs and improved power reserve on the new TT. If you’re a 36mm DJ freak next year might be the year for you. If this is the case i hope Rolex will add some killer dials, my wish is a gun blue sunburst dial for the SS Dj 36mm deym that would be awesome!

The hidden clasp seems gone and I am very disappointed. Let's see if the new SS dj36 will be different

Even if they do I think Rolex is pushing the 36mm more towards women now. And if the hidden clasp is gone to many potential buyers it’ll be a turn off.

I'm excited about the improvements to the DJ36, and I'm looking forward to seeing them made to the all-steel versions soon!

I have always loved the 36mm Date-Just. The new movement is exciting, and I enjoy having Easylink in a clasp, so I'm all-in on the new one, for sure.

I hope they won’t change the hidden clasp. I love the jubilee better on a hiddeb clasp.

Me too. Jubilee just looks right with the hidden clasp!

But...they already changed the clasp for whole DJ 41 and ...and now they have moved on to the 36 as well, starting with TT.

I highly doubt that they will leave the new SS untouched.

I am excited that the new movement is coming and will pick up an oyster/domed version. Best of all I’ll actually be able to get one!

I have the hidden clasp and it's awesome - hides scratches and is seamless.

Does anyone have any pictures/images of the new DJ36 case compared with the older style version?

Surely they couldn’t have refined the lugs etc much more as it will look too dainty then?!

Has it been beefed up, or down?

Thanks

I really love *most* of the changes made to the DJ lineup, especially removing the hidden clasp. I could never really get a perfect fit with my old 116200. Hopefully the new clasp has more adjustability.

I just wish they didn't remove the roman numeral chapter ring on the stick dials...

Agree... unfortunately it seems like the hidden clasp will be gone for good.

Any comparison pics of the new 36mm to the old. I'm interested to see the case difference

I will be receiving a new 116234 from DavidSW this week, it has the hidden clasp.

I'm assuming the new changes are not happening until 2019?

I don’t have pics side by side at the moment, but they’ve used the Datejust 41 proportions on the new 36mm. If you remember the pre-maxi case Datejusts, it kind takes the form of that with a modern twist. You can see the pics of mine if you click on my profile and look at th threads I’ve started on my incoming. It’s absolutely amazing!! Well refined IMO.

Agree. I would’ve got a jubilee on my 116200 if it had the easylink that comes on the oyster.
