as nice as the submariner is, it just fades away next to this wonderful 126600 .this for me is the modern "submariner!"

I am a new owner of SD43. I love both Sub and SD43. I think they look the same, except one is for larger wrists. Can't go wrong with either.

Thanks to all! Great forum

The AD removed the diver extension and one link at 6 o' clock. I think I will have to "swap" one short link from 12 o' clock to 6 o' clock to have it more balanced.

Please let me answer here:

Rolex increased the dial by 1mm and the bezel by 2mm (talking about the diameter). The 2mm are creating more flash. The material (ceramic) is still the same (Sub C / SD40 alias SD4K).

The dial is amazing! It can change from dark black to pearl grey to something I have never seen before... let's call it "jungle grey". The flash of the bezel is much more bling (compared to the Sub or SD40) and I like how the large "outer ring" plays with the light. The design is more balanced and the proportions are perfect - honestly the best proportions I have seen on a diver.

The 43mm has an outstanding wrist presence BUT it comes with a heft and the Sub feels more comfortable to wear - at least on my 6.75 wrist.

It feels very special with the red and I like the big sizes of the markers.

Overall I would highly recommend this watch but please try it before you buy it! The heft is not for everyone and you have to see how it looks on your wrist (and how you like the heft).

Lead time was 6 weeks (I bought several watches from that AD before).

Enough said, here are some pictures!

Alex

Helps confirm my thought to put the other full link back in for my 7.25 wrists.

Helps the bracelet curve to the wrist better. The glidelock clasp itself is pretty long, so if you add the length of the dive extension it makes for a long, flat plane.

This photo shows the dive extension all the way in the glidelock, acting similar to a regular link, but if your wrist swells it only makes it longer, where a regular link would be able to fold if that makes sense:
