Saw Eddie Money at the World Series of Rock in Cleveland, 1979. The bill included Def Leppard, Eddie, J Geils, & Bob Seger.

We were in the front row for DF & Eddie. EM had a beachball with 2 backstages passes [tickets to paradise] that he kicked and the ball went straight up, hit the lights, and came straight down into my friends hands.

J Geils Band kicked a$$, the rest were a snooze fest. Years later I met the lead singer & drummer from Def Leppard and I asked them if they remembered me, you know, from the front row. They didn't.

RIP, Eddie Mahoney.

Actually worked a show with him in the very early 80’s. He was pretty tipsy, but still a nice guy...

May he Rest In Peace.

I saw him play a county fair in the early ‘90s, where he explained his fortune went up his nose. There were little kids everywhere and it was totally inappropriate and totally hilarious. The man was a true rock star.

Wow, that's still fairly young. I say that now that I am getting closer to 70.

Eddie Money (Mahoney) was an NYPD Trainee in the late sixties but pursued Rock and Roll. Seems like he made the right decision.

His brother Dan was an NYPD captain, plus his father and grandfather were also NYPD cops.

RIP Eddie
