Incoming Deepsea Blue

Long time lurker- FT poster.

Been on the hunt for many years for the Deepsea Blue. Generally in my travels, I get the typical “see about one a year” good luck in your search.

Lurked a long time on Chronos24, but refused to buy Grey market. I was in Europe in March, Harrods did have a Deepsea (black) they were winning to sell me, but I could not justify settling for that amount of money.

Couple of months ago, an AD in MI whom my mother had done a lot of jewelry business with over her life called me. I had a 500$ deposit with him for about a year. Told me he was getting one, could not advise when- just that he was in fact receiving my watch soon- could be a week, could be a month.

Low and behold- yesterday, I picked it up.
Something that has been on my bucket list since I was 30 or so. 20+ years later, I own my own.

Really a great experience purchasing it. Waiting however was a real challenge, patience is a requirement when getting what you desire.

Apple Watch is on the shelf now

Congrats! I wasn’t patient and went gray, not an insane premium in this one. Sure enough I got the call from the AD about 6 months later. Paid more and missed the opportunity to build a relationship with the AD. Oh well. I don’t really need that relationship as I’d get myself in trouble with the wife.
