Hell yeah do that. Especially if its a direct swap.

The SS gets boring quick fast and that blue dial on the Bluesy is unmatched especially when your comparing it to the plain black dial.

Thats an easy yes from me in a heartbeat I'd do that trade. Makes sense $$ wise and makes even more sense looks wise. Your crazy if you dont do that trade.

Why would the AD make this trade?

A preowned SS Submariner straight up for a new Bluesy?

AD trades are rarely, if ever, lopsided in YOUR favor.

I am contemplating one as my 60th birthday present to myself, I think that you have just sold the watch to me, now I just need to get my AD to order one in.

Congratulations on your watch, it is stunning, enjoy it and wear in good health.

My AD showed me a new TT blue sub and it's nice but very flashy. I'd own one as my second Sub, but not my everyday.

The TT sub is the better looking/dynamic watch. But as everyday wear and if your the type of person who cares at what others think of TT watches, then most likely you have to add another under the radar watch to your collection. I would trade. 3-4k market price difference

Totally agree with Peter...
let me think get a $13400 watch for an $8550 watch .
If you get tired of the Bluesy which I don’t you will
you could easily sell it and get the SS back .

Note: I’ve had several SS Rolex divers and the Bluesy stayed.
Yes, it’s my daily and I love it . Never get tired of the blue dial !!!

The only advantage I see that the AD would have in this market
is twofold. If you want to call it an advantage.

1. Since the SS is pre-owned they can sell it for
whatever they want .
Keeping mind market value is hovering around $10.5/11K
pre-owned for the date 116610. Top $11.5/12K maybe.
2. Use it as leverage in a bundle deal .

Which technically shouldn’t affect you because if your
getting a brand New Bluesy , resale is $12K+ even if you
wear it and decide to sell and and re-acquire the SS Sub.
It’s a win win for you .

Honestly I don’t see how you can lose . You are looking a
Gift Horse in the mouth . JUST DO IT ALREADY!!!!

Yes, I think the blue dial 116613 is the best Rolex watch.
I would do it for sure!

If my AD offered me a new Bluesy in exchange for my SS SubC I would jump on that immediately!

Something doesn't add up.

But if you like the TT, it's a no brainer. If you want my opinion the Bluesy is much much nicer than the SS SubC, not even close, and I own both. If you want to go under the radar with a clean, classic, timeless watch then the SS works. If you want a beautiful watch that gets a lot of attention then the Bluesy is the one.

I love the blue sunburst dial. I have had it in TT but now have it in Gold. Gold crushes SS models in every way. Also traded SS ceramic Daytona toward a gold Daytona.

No way. I’ve never liked TT divers. AD wins that trade by a mile, IMO.

Wow these are superb, love them! I only have SS in my collection but one day I’ll have a gold Rolex :)

OP, it’s not a bad trade. Do it if the TT sings to you, it’s a super choice

Not sure if serious. Seems like a bad deal for the AD.

I trade Ag for Au every time the ratio is favorable.

Trading fancy Fe for Au seems like a total no-brainer.

Yes. It’s probably the only SS To TT flip I would consider.

TT is too flashy for the train. I would stick with the SS, as it's more understated.
