Planning on a trip to cancun mexico next month. I was thinking of a new rolex purchase, but wanted to know how the dealer was or if anyone had experiences at the dealer. Thanks

Zero feedback.

I don't look to buy watches when I'm on vacation.

I feel I can get the best deal online using multiple resources to ensure a competitive price.

Good luck.

I do look to buy watches when on vacation, but alas, there were no deals to be had in Mexico. I was just down on the Riviera Maya 2 weeks ago and prices are roughly identical to prices here in Estados Unidos. You can get a ~8% tax refund when leaving by air but that's still not great. The Ultrajewels folks were very nice, though, and definitely a reputable chain.

I've been to ultrajewels, didnt buy anything but they have a good selection and lots of pieces in the back. Also offered me a fair discount on a tt DJII. Woulld recommend if you're in the area and in the market for a new watch. Not a ton to do in the market though, very touristy.

I saw some Rolex advertising in the airport. I wasn't sure whether the boutique is in the airport or not.
I saw a few of Rolex in Cancun tho, black sub, coke gmt, hulk, etc. I didn't wear mine, because I don't want to worry about my watch while I'm on vacation.

Ultra at Isla, ask for Armando. Good deal if you let them know you aren't wasting their time. If they don't have it at Isla, they'll drive it up from Playa and they'll even finalize the deal at your hotel.

I fly in and out of Cancun a lot as I'm a pilot. I often visit the AD's there and to my mind, they're the most expensive Rolex I've seen on planet Earth! But I live in the U.K., and comparatively, Rolex here are supposedly cheap compared to what everyone else pays for them.
Like others have said, shop around back home using the inter-web or a trusted seller here like David SW.

Tourist spots and cities are not necessarily a cheap place to buy luxury goods. Remember, people who frequent there include people who have just spent a few thousand dollars on a one week vacation, or are there to impress their new girlfriend/boyfriend/fiance/etc., and generally are not there to save money.
