Congratulations; did you go to a debate club prior because it sounds like the 41 stole your heart!!!

Congrats! Definitely itching to make a DJ Amy next purchase. Was there anything you disliked about the 36?

Mark you make such a GREAT point. I can sell it and keep it in the bank for a rainy day, but if I don’t NEED to sell it, why sell it? Every time I look at the watch it gives me chills. And if I ever have a son, I’d love to pass this down to him.

Screw it, I’m keeping it!

Thank you!

-Nick

Can't you find funds somewhere else? You mention you don't *need* the extra cash so why make a move now? What happens if it turns out you didn't need it after all is said and done? Extra money has a way of "spending itself" so keep that in mind. (I'm a spendthrift, so the above only applies to me. Not implying you're bad with money)

Anyway, good luck whatever you decide. And condolences, I mean Congratulations on your wedding.

Mark

Personally the 36 was just too small for me. Nothing at all against it, but the 41 just looked “better” on me.

Hi Nick! Happy to hear you're keeping it. The depreciation alone would piss me off but not having it would be "criminal" as you really seemed overjoyed when you finally got it.

Tell ya' something many don't realise: after having and selling a Rolex for whatever reason, it becomes *painful* to participate in TRF. I had to sell my beloved Turn-O-graph several years ago and subsequently left the forum until I purchased a New Datejust.(same as yours except It's 36mm)

Hope your wedding goes well and all that but having your DJ on your wrist will make a good thing better.

Sincerely,
Mark

Just checking todays status. Keep or sell? Engaged or single? Disney or Universal? Space Mountain or Thunder Mountain? Animal Kingdom or Grand Floridian?

Do what you need to do to make the best of your life with your future wife. What watch your wearing is almost at the bottom of your list.

Best wishes, and congratulations.

Killer watch. My lovely wife just got me a new DJ41 for my 40th B-day.
Just like yours, but two-tone, with the champagne dial.

Enjoy it, I know I love mine!
