GMT Master II Coke circa 2006 is my daily beater although I don’t beat on it and even after 11+ years and a few battle scars, it’s still a fantastic piece and I’ll never part with it.

SubC Date for me. I like the balance and simplicity of the no date version but just like any other watch, you’ll eventually get tired of the lack of variety and these characteristics begin to matter less. And then the utilitarian nuance of the 116610’s date begins to emerge and justify itself as a one-watch daily beater.

Depends on how one defines 'beater'. I'm sure they can perform the task, but I have trouble seeing any ceramic model as a good beater, but perhaps a good daily wearer. If have to say the Explorer, Milgauss, or even an Explorer II would do better as a 'beater' in my view.

Drop your wife or SO and then you’ll never have to choose just one !!

Problem solved.

If I had to sell the rest and keep only one it would have to be a PM and would be my WG Sub. The WG Day-date would be a close second.

Another vote for the 16710. It was my daily beater for years. Bought mine almost 19 years ago. Wore it everywhere almost everyday. Had a cheap Timex for the gym and a Victorinox that I wore occasionally, when deployed overseas. Didn’t care about watches again until I bought my retirement watch two years ago — a Sinn 903. I have other watches now, but this is the one and I will never part with it.

It would be a dj 36mm, I like Datejust's a lot so If I could ever only have one it would be that.

I have a GMT II BLRO 16710, which I wear for that now, but...

I also have a New 116710 BLNR and a 116334 Arabic DJ II which I fancy just as much.

I think If it had to be one, I would make it a Skydweller, since it would incorporate the elegance of the DJ II, and the 24 hour function of the GMT II.

As an everyday wearer, of my watches I would say the 114060.
I'm going to try wearing my BLNR on a multi zone business trip next week and see how that goes.

I could never, but I find the Explorer 1 to be very comfortable for daily wear. Maybe the SS Daytona could be an only one too, but I don’t have one yet. Only have a PM Daytona and it is a bit heavy for daily wear.
