Which do you prefer Rolex milgauss blue dial or black?

I’m looking into the milgauss. This watch was all the rage when it came out. Which do you prefer. I will post images (taken from David SW)

I think the blue is a bit more unique and more fun between the two.. If you're unsure which you like better, an in person side by side comparison could do the trick!

Blue for me, for two reasons. 1. The blue shifts tonal values amazingly in the light. 2. No orange indices at 3, 6, 9.

I got the z-blue. I personally didn't like the orange 3/6/9 markers on the black dial.

Would pick blue over black, it looks incredible as the light hits it. But when the lighting is poor, the green Saphire glass tends to subdue the blue quite a bit.

The black reminds me too much of Halloween.

Blue. What ever happened to GV? I remember they use to command a crazy premium.

I decidedly prefer the Z-Blue. I bought one last summer. I absolutely love it and really enjoy it as a a change of pace from other black dial Rolexes I own.

Blue. It's different, it's striking, and it works. But it ain't subtle. It shimmers, glints and seems to attract the light. My beautiful Blusey is comparatively self effacing.

Blue. It is a beautiful combo of blue and green crystal. After a long time, for some reason I decided to wear it today and can’t stop admiring it.

Blue and it isn't close. There is nothing else quite like this blue.

Recently looking at these as well. Difficult one. Black dial is a safer choice and the green crystal appears more obvious on that one, plus it’s the original. The blue is currently rarer if that matters to you.

The green crystal is unique. If you're enticed by that, I would say go all the way and go with the blue dial. It's more playful and has more variety in how it looks depending on how light hits it.

If we were talking about a one and only collection, I could see why someone would pick the black over the blue.

I like both GVs, but bought the blue one. A much better match for brown/blue based wardrobes. Black sub for black outfits.

Blue. It works on a lot of different color theory levels that I won't bore you with, but Rolex designed it for a reason.

The Sunburst blue dial with green crystal creates a striking color combination that you really can't satisfy the itch for with any other watch. The black dial version looks rather flat gray which is found on plenty of fish in the sea.

Original black dial for me 100%. It just works so well with the black, and really accentuates the green crystal. The blue seems to compete with it for me.
