Dreams do come true- got the call

My family owned AD called me that they had a Daytona for me if I was still interested. I told them I would be over in 5 minutes! They promptly told me the watch isn't in store yet but they will have it later today so I plan to have it by the end of business today or first thing tomorrow. In all my excitement I didn't even ask what dial color it was and honestly there are merits to each one and I would be happy with either so this incoming will kind of be like a gender reveal... pics to follow once I pick this beauty up. Hopefully it all works out and the watch isn't swiped somehow!

Haha a gender reveal. Are you going to have a party and cut a cake to reveal which color Daytona you got?

All kidding aside...congrats!

Did they say it was the SS model?

Congratulations, got the same call this week after 3 year wait. Turned down a black dial earlier this year and didn’t really think anymore about it. This past Monday got a text saying they had their third and final white Daytona C for the year and it was mine. Dreams do come true

You'd think if your family owned the AD that you would get any watch you wanted, anytime you wanted it.

Am I right?

Ah this is where punctuation counts. It’s my AD as in the one I frequent and it happens to be family owned. Not owned by a family I’m a member of unfortunately

This is actually pretty interesting you don't know what face color it is. Definitely adds a bit of excitement.

You should tell them to not tell you - just open the box and see it. That way you're happy either way!

I also wonder with the popularity of the white dial is the black dial will circumvent in value in the future if the white dial's popularity fades...

Really what? You couldn't figure out what he was saying? Or are you playing grammar police? Not sure which is worse in this case.

Actually, really, you have no sense of humor, as you walk around taking everything said and written quite literally. You must be a blast at parties

This makes two things I want to know about on this thread.
What color dial OP gets and what is a boswollock?

IT'S A BOY!!!! Over the moon about this. Never thought I would ever get this watch without going grey. Thanks for allowing me to share my excitement with the community as most other people in my life don't get how huge this is.
As for the grammar thing yeah... I agree you're better than that man.
