Have a 126710 BLRO and Breitling 806 1959 Re-Edition on order.
I inquired today about an Ulysse Nardin with enamel dial, which is another grail of mine.
I'm driving a 2008 Ford Focus

I love cars as much as I love watches. But since I’m just an average guy with an average job, a family and a mortgage, I can’t do both. I currently have a 126200 datejust (blue dial), a 214270, a 116000 OP, an Omega SMP-C, and drive a midrange 2017 Mazda 3. My wife drives a 2010 RAV4 V6 we had since new. It doesn’t help that I live in a city where the cost of living is off the charts.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland edition and a 2019 SubC. Just chatted with the AD in the background as I picked up an older watch I had cleaned up today. 3/4+ full display cases to include a Bluesy, Exp 1 & 2, and a Milgaus among many others. Great folks all around and I'll most certainly be back. All this chatter of empty displays still has me scratching my head. Fun hobby though for sure.

If Rolex is to Porsche then Tudor is to Mazda. I own a 1991 Miata as my weekend car and a Ford Taurus X as my daily.

I know you said "modest", not "beater, but... 2002 Honda Odyssey and my 16610 on a girly Nato.

Backstory: I volunteer in animal rescue and this is great for safely transporting kennels and pets to vet visits and adoption events. Bought it in 2009 used with only 70K miles on it. Got it for dirt cheap because if you look closely you can see it survived a serious hailstorm. Previous owner replaced hail broken windshield and rear window, but wasn't worth it to fix body damage. In the 10 years I've owned it, it has needed nothing more than routine maintenance. Not bad for a 17 year old car. Besides being used for hauling animals, or our tandem bike, it's great for supermarket parking lots and leaving at airport parking.

SubC & FordF150 Lariat.

Not terribly modest but it’s a truck.

I love cars and drive one I’m passionate about but nothing nauseates me quite like the typical bragadocious steering wheel shot. This thread is hugely redeeming. Great posts! Love the stories behind several of the choices!!

I've worked in vehicle design for the past 22 years. All of the cars are normal every day type's. I get a bit of satisfaction to be able to see a bit of my work in any city on a daily basis, BUT it gets less satisfying as I get older as the novelty goes away. I drive a very mundane SUV but I view vehicles from a slightly different perspective.

My watches... each of them, by themselves... are worth more than my car. My daily wearer is a 13LB Sub C, and my daily driver is a 2007 Honda Odyssey that has 187,000+. It is perfect for hauling around my family of 5, or taking my son and his friends (and their gear) to their hockey games.

Drive a 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail edition w 70k miles on it. Runs like a top. Wife drives a Honda CR-V like a lot of other people here.

Have 3 Rolex’s. 116610LN, 16570 and 16234.

The value of the T4R goes down every year the watches.... not so much.

I do have more money into the T4R than the watch collection but given the choice I would drive much less car before giving up any of my watches.

While on my assignment to New Zealand we picked up a 2007 Honda CRV. Nice little ride, I might just look into a new one when I return to the states. It fits just fine with my 16613 Bluesy and 16623 Yachtmaster. Cheers, Tim

Not mentioning my car in case anyone I know is onto my online antics. I'm not a car guy either and find it humorous that people often buy the fanciest they can afford and don't have a watch collection (as a result).
