Any Daytona fan will tell you that it absolutely has a place complementing the other two in your stable. As you noted, different bezel than the YG you have, different bracelet from either and a panda dial which stands apart from both of them too. Would be good to get a Sub to broaden out the tool range at some point for sure.

Great collection

I have 2 Daytona's. YG PN dial and 116500 white dial. I'd have no problem getting a 3rd. Love the fit of the Daytona. I have 6.5" wrist so can't go too big.

I’d do it. You’ll have all the metals except platinum and you can round out the collection with a platinum day date

If you’re looking for someone to tell you not to get it you’ve come to the wrong place! Fantastic collection and the OF would fit in perfectly!

No, 3 is ok. I have 2 but will add a third once my AD gets in a Black dial SS. Buy what you like as long as it does not impinge on your finances too much.

The WG daytona can replace the AP Diver.

I'd be okay even going up to five daytona's. I think the WG is different enough to justify. Sub dial contrast being will look different enough.

I have the 116500 and the 116519 and simply love both as Daytona has become my favorite watch. You can never have to many Daytona watches

I’m with you on feeling the love for Daytonas! I like what you have in your collection and while I would prefer to add the 116509 (wg with blue dial), if the oysterflex looks good on you then go for it. For me personally, I really liked the oysterflex until I tried it on. On my wrist it just looks and feels way too bulky for my taste.

I think it would be great in your collection, and fits right in, as it’s not repetitive due to the differences that you mentioned. I don’t disagree with your thoughts, and have owned multiples of the same model a few times. I have two DD40’s right now...WG & YG. I actually had a couple Daytona’s at once as well, but, after acquiring the PT Daytona, I just didn’t have a desire to wear a different Daytona. If one of my first choices for YG was a Daytona, I’d have that next to a PT Daytona possibly...but my YG choice isn’t the Daytona.
No wrong answer here my friend.

3 is not too many (I have 4). The only caveat is how the OF fits on your wrist. I tried the 116518LN but the rubber straps stuck out more on top and bottom than the sleekness of the all metal bracelets by the way.

Thanks for all the great feedback.
I'll try to respond more tomorrow.

And yes, I realize this is not the place to look for people saying "no",
though there was a couple, but it was like 30-3 in favor of "yes"

I would definitely go for it as all three Daytona’s are totally different.
Some people on the forums have 3 of the same SS Daytona, GMT, Subs etc..

3 different watches in my opinion. Go for it. You need a PM DD, or Sky Dweller blue or both.

Can never have too many Daytona's! The OF is different enough to fit into your collection! If you have the means, go for it!

Is 3 Daytonas Too Many???

Can’t agree; I had a white gold /blue dial Daytona, 116509, and it was a real beauty. But in general, Daytonas are probably over-rated. The dial is a bit too small, it is cramped and difficult to read, and the locking pushers are awkward . There are better chronometers.
I switched to the DD40. Not as ‘hot’ but, for me, a better watch overall.
So three Daytonas? Not for me, I’m afraid. A 116509 does the job, all by itself.
Got to admit, that is lovely.

I think that you should go for it. Great addition to your collection and the way you described the fit on the Daytona, for you, it really works.

Hi Bryant, I say go for it.
Your not trying to build a collection with a theme but rather buying what you like and that’s what I admire. A lot of people build collections around land air sea, or different dial colours different brands etc but I think of you just buy what you like you’ll always be happy with what you got.

Having said I’ve been tossing up between an AP ROO or 519LN and like yourself I just can’t get away from Rolex I just think it’s good bang for buck compared to AP or patek and I’ve also put my name down yesterday for one
