Would you train SS for TT Sub

I have a SS Sub purchased new in July 2019.
AD has a new TT sub bluesy.

AD offered even trade...would you?
Note: They sell used Rolexes.

I went the other way.. I had a 116613LB and traded it for a 116610LN which I find to be a more versatile daily tool that suits my one-watch lifestyle best.

I wouldn't; I think two tone is cheesy.

Up to you, but I would never do that. TT is just not my style.

I would not do it but I don't like yellow metals. All depends on your preference.

The TT Bluesy is the one of the best looking watches you could have. Admittedly there are quite a few people that like black wheels on their car and plain SS on their wrist. It is a fleeting thing and eventually we will get back to the natural order of SS<TT<G<Pt. In the mean time you are being offered a $13,400 MSRP watch in trade for your $7500-$8550 MSRP watch. Do what you want but clearly you are moving up in the world.

Even trade? the TT is worth more?!

First of all, only trade if you really love the TT. I do (it took decades for me to really love it) but I wouldn't have it as my one and only sport Rolex, but that is just me.

Not unless you love the TT. Assuming you are going to keep and wear the watch, go with your gut and forget that one retails for 5k more than the other.

I think you might find TT too flashy and attention seeking after a while. The date sub will look good year on year especially in a small collection.

I would make that trade!

However, ask yourself 2 questions:

1. Do you like the look of the 2 tone sub?
2. Do you have another less "blingly" watch in your collection?

If you answer yes to both questions - go for it! Financially it's a great deal.

I actually do not like most 2 tone watches - but for whatever reason the 2 tone sub with the blue dial is awesome.

Why would an AD trade a used sub for a new bluesy? Price points are significantly different.

You just bought the Sub a month and a half ago and now want to trade it??

If the AD is offering you this trade, then you can count on it only being advantageous for the AD.

I have both and both are good but you are getting offer way more than market price. 13k tt vs 10k ss watch in terms of market value.

I would if I liked the bluesy. Sadly, I don't much care for it. But that seems like a reasonable trade.

If it were the two-tone black sub, which I prefer (and yeah, I know it's not as popular), I'd probably bite for that offer.

The Bluesy is in a class of its own.

Straight up trade should be made without thinking

I have both and it's no contest which one is more breathtaking
