Icon6 BLNR Back From Rolex Service!

Just got my BLNR back from a full Rolex Service and I’m extremely pleased with how it’s come back!!

I purchased the BLNR 5 years ago, August 2014, and as things were then I managed to obtain a free service from my AD, no chance these days!! Anyway I wore my BLNR every day for 5 years and it had some wear and tear as is expected. I picked up a brand new TT Black Sub from the same AD last month, at which point I cashed in my free service on the BLNR.

Today they called and said my BLNR was back from Rolex, they included the service invoice from Rolex with my paperwork, £550.

It’s crisp and fresh and back with me, I love the BLNR it’s a beautiful watch but I must say I’m extremely taken with the TT Black Submariner, and it’s the TT Sub that gets the most comments. Both beautiful and complement each other

Can you post some photos of your BLNR before/after service?

So close to the Summer 2015 green tag switch that I’m surprised they didn’t recommend waiting a bit longer.

What made you service it already?
I had a late 2014 BLNR and it was running like a dream. I wouldn’t have serviced it until a good few more years.

It was running ok, seemed to be gaining a bit of time. Watches from that date were supposed to be serviced after 5 years according to the manual, subsequent they are now 10 years. It was a free service anyway and it looks like new!!

I suppose no harm as it’s free.

Service, my 116520 was purchased in 2014. I have no plans for service until 2025 at the least more likely 2030.

The BLNR is a magnificent watch. It's the model that actually got me into Rolex. Over the past two years I was hoping that it would be my first watch, but doesn't look like it will happen :(

Discontinued and pricing are keeping me from being able to purchase one.
Waiting for my SS C Daytona now.

Sarcasm done with............looks great. Such a treat when it comes back like that, shiny and new.
Enjoy!

Is it true they come back looking brand new? I just sent my 2008 Submariner in for a full service and am awaiting its return?

Thanks guys, extremely happy with the results. It had been worn continuously for 5 years in all situations so had a fair few of signs of wear!

I wouldn’t hesitate in sending for a proper Rolex Service, although I know some have mixed views.

The only place I can see that it looks different to me are the shape of the crown guards, they look a little more rounded, but they probably took a fair few knocks to be fair!

My Submariner is back from the Rolex Service Center in pristine condition. It was my daily timepiece for 11 years before first service. When I got it back it looks like the day I bought it.

I am not generally a fan of TT, but I do feel the black TT is a pretty cool watch. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure if it came through in the picture but it’s SS submariner.
