The number of TV programs that center around eating food or preparing food or traveling for food is just weird. Fat thirty and forty-somethings shamelessly grab electric shopping scooters meant for the infirm and elderly in grocery stores to fill their baskets full of crap because they can't even be bothered to walk. "Fat-shaming" is considered a thing yet the obesity health time bomb in youth due to nothing more than gluttony and inactivity is ignored.

In an instant gratification society where food choices are so immense and affordable that food-obsession reaches the heights of lunacy, it's no wonder a banal, $3.99 chicken sandwich can trigger violence if it's thought to be the "latest thing" but yet have to wait for one.

Is waiting in line for an hour to get "Fast food" the definition of Irony, Idiocy, or both?
Completely agree.

Sadly amazing what some people will shovel into their mouth

Even more sad some will kill other people in order to get it.

I don't think I would stab anybody for it but I'll definitely eat again.

Chicken sandwich over at Fuku (behind the acclaimed Momofuku) - they opened up in the new Hudson Yards mall in NYC - is awesome! And I'm not really a fan of fried chicken...

David Chang takes his fried chicken very seriously.

I tried the popeye's and it was ok. About what you would expect from a fast food place.

Nice crunch, but way too oily. Chick fil a is better.

I did not go to a Popeye's. Was at a friend's place and we used doordash or grub hub. One of those.

I'm concerned about the people who are willing to wait in lines for hours trying to get a sandwich.

No different than the people who wait in line for a week in front of an Apple store to get a new phone every year.

That's awful as well, but those are usually scalpers trying to make a profit.

A sandwich though...
