Swiss Made on Omega Dials '

Can anyone help me ? A friend was showing me a couple of old Omega's
he inherited. They are both pretty beatup and frankly don't look as if they have ever been in the top end of the marque. At the bottom of the dials is the legend Swiss Made . My question is , was there a specific year or date that the words , Swiss Made , were dropped by Omega ? Did all the other watch manufacturers do it at the same time ( no pun intended ) ? If you have the answer...please let me know.

Swiss and Swiss made in the fifties

...were interchangeable and inconsistent, particularly with US deisgnated models or US cased watches, and then things firmed up with Omega and Swiss Made became the standard in the sixties.

Not possible to date by Swiss made, and there are other easier ways in which to date a watch. Serial number and model are better to establish dates.

Cheers

Thanks for your help. My question was mainly based on my curiousity about the demise of the Swiss Made legend . I'm not even trying to date the watches concerned , they really are bog standard pieces.
