In my opinion and since I was in my teens, the answer is YES
In fact my first one had exactly that, and I loved it [QUOTE=shirtguy;10292841) Champagne is too hard to read[/QUOTE] As I have gotten old, sadly I have to agree with you, everything looks gold In fact I sent my gold dial 118238 back to Rolex for them to change the dial to silver, with the black on white disc/date. Just had the nod from my AD, saying that it is now back after the change and service, so keenly looking forward to seeing it. In your combination of gold numerals on a white background, it looks superb. I had a white dial with batons and though readability was fantastic, I just thought that the combination was too sterile.

Platinum with the ice blue and stick markers. I just can't make myself like the "business" of roman numerals. Tried one on recently and its not the $ time yet, but damn nice watch!

I prefer that dial over over the newer olive dial on the DD40.

I didn’t know it was discontinued. It’s mr favorite after the stone dials in YG. I am also a huge fan of the glacier blue.

I loved my 36mm 18238 DD but the 40mm is Fantastic! 40mm Really really love this one. If I ever change the dial on my YG DD40 one this might be it!!! btw this looks heaps better than your DD36. DD40 is the king!! |

That is a beauty. DavidSW had that one a couple of years ago for 18.8k and it was less than a year old. Really wanted it for my wife but couldn't swing it at the time and you don't see many of them. As for my favorite, I think they're all pretty damn good looking in their way from vintage to modern. If it was going on my wrist, a DD II RG chocolate dial jumps out.
