Back in the club - 1603 Grey Sigma

Its been a little while since I sold my previous 1601 linen dial, but happy to be back! Picked up this little beauty 2 weeks ago:

Wasn't even in the market for one, but when this came up, I had to have it.

Thank you guys! For my 6.5" wrist, these older DateJust's seem to fit my wrist the best out of any watch I've had.

Ghosty! Definitely my favorite DJ dial. Engine turned bezel sets it apart from the crowd, too. I feel you on the small wrists. Vintage proportions suit me far better than most modern.

Thank you guys! After going vintage in this size, I think I will find it hard to go modern again solely for the comfort factor. I was bummed when I had to sell my old SubC to pay for medical expenses for my senior dog (well worth it of course), but after getting into the vintage game, my desire for another modern Rolex has subsided. With the previous SubC, I would routinely take it off to work, do active stuff, and generally when I was sweating just because the weight/heft would cause it to be uncomfortable and slide around on my small wrist. Since I got this one, I have slept with it quite a bit just because I forgot I was wearing it when I went to bed.

I have a 6494 which when I put it on I just completely forget about. Fits nicely under a shirtsleeve etc and doesn't cause any fuss. When I switch back to my modern sports watches they feel enormous and heavy in comparison!!

Great watch! Slap a 78360 oyster bracelet on it and you are pretty much set for life!

Are 4 digit datejusts on the rise? I've been noticing quite a bit of interest in these references lately.

I am currently trying to source either a Oyster or Jubilee, I love the look of both so which ever I can find first for a good price, I will go with.

I feel like its the old adage of the rising tide lifts all boats. Since Rolex is HOT right now, I think even the vintage world is seeing it too.
