This is a pic of my Tampa Toy Poodle. He might look cute, but I have him trained to hide at tourist spots and rip Pateks and APs off of tourists' wrists!

How I see these threads...

I'm thinking of sticking my arm in an oven, but am worried that if it's hot I may get burnt. Do you think it makes sense to do it?
Or should I not stick my hand in the oven?

This is how debates with my wife go. More twists and turns than a twisty turny thing.

At least I get some compensation from her for the headbanging

I wear Rolex to all NBA games, including Detroit which has an amazing stadium with free food and beer.

I know I am going to be wearing my Rolex to the finals!!

Oakland:

(Quotes from Wikipedia)

In 1983, the National Journal referred to Oakland as the "1983 crime capital" of the San Francisco Bay Area.Crime continued to escalate during the 1980s and 1990s, and during the first decade of the 21st century Oakland has consistently been listed as one of the most dangerous large cities in the United States.

Oakland has been called "the city with half a police department." Official estimates are that for a city with Oakland's level of crime approximately 1,100 officers are needed to adequately patrol the city; as of the beginning of 2013, Oakland employed only 616 officers.

Perhaps not wise to travel to the game by BART. The parking lot can also be a challenge. But if a limo dropped you off then maybe it would be less risky.

Uh, enjoy the game.

As a teenager, I was mugged in Oakland, and I wasn't even wearing a watch, so I say go for it.

Safety when travelling to...

Look my man ... I live just outside of Medellin, Colombia. Yeah, that same Medellin you know from the pathetic Narc movies ... high up there in terms of crime. Murders, kidnappings, you get the point. Sure it isn’t the 90s and the city has come a long way ... Open for tourism, both good and bad ...

Guess what this guy wears ? A Rolex - Exercise some caution of course. Sold off my “flashy” pieces and kept my Explorer only. What good is owning a watch I can’t wear as I please and when I please....

I'm thinking of wearing an "old" 16234. Maybe it won't attract as much attention

What do you guys think?

They are so many Rolexes in Bay Area, you will not stand out :-) FWIW, I wear my APs to Warriors’ games, no one cares.

Interesting and thank you, but I'm not afraid to take the watch to the basketball game. I'm going to stay two weeks and watch two games. I fear the rest of the time when I visit Oakland and San Francisco on a tourist basis.

It’s no different than any other big city in US. All touristy places are fine, avoid shady neighborhoods, you’ll be fine. Go Warriors!

For the most part 99% of people do not know a Rolex from a whiffleball, so I don't worry about it too much. I am more worried about seriously damaging one of my high end watches so I insure them on a personal property rider under my home owners insurance policy. Now I do not worry at all about them, as far as where I wear them. I still will not wear the if there is a fair possibility that they would get seriously damaged, like at work.

You get good and bad places everywhere around the world if in doubt don’t wear a nice watch but in my opinion if you feel threatened just stick your hands deep in your pockets,You wear a Rolex because you love it you don’t need to broadcast you have one all the time.

I truly doubt with the prices of a ticket to an NBA Finals game that there won’t be tons of Rolex in the air there.

His answer is revanchism. I'm sure you haven't been to Playa del Inglés or just lie because if you had been it's impossible to compare it to the crime of Detroit or Tampa.

Anyway, thanks for answering.
I had to lookup "revanchism" because I didn't know the meaning of the word. I learned that you don't either! It really doesn't make any sense in the context that you used it.
