I put close to 30 years of daily wear on this 16013. Sent it to the Rolliworks Spa and now my daughter is wearing it. It began it's life in 1986 on her grandfather's wrist.

This was my Explorer II after 5 years of wearing. Looked essentially the same as the day I bought it.

My 14060, bought new in Feb 1996 and has been on my wrist nearly every day since! My only Rolex. I only take her off when I go to bed. A faithful, tough-as-nails companion, been all around the world with me I'll never sell her, and she'll outlast me for sure! Got the box etc. out for the photo.

Datejust 16234 of 1989. When purchased it had a white dial

In 2017 I replaced the white dial with a black dial. I still have the original white dial.

I have other Rolex, but this Datejust is my daily watch. It has one of the first 3135 movements, and it is at +1 second a day. Some 32XX movements should blush.

This was my daily for about 10-12 years, and was my fathers for roughly 20 years before that. So almost daily wear since new, just a few years downtime.

Well, I don't wear this everyday but...

...I have owned it since 2006 and it's a 2002 model.

You’re one lucky man. The way this reference age is just amazing. Don’t let RSC ever change that dial.

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words! Definitely never sending to RSC. It was sent once to Rolex around 2000 or so and they wanted to replace everything, so we got it back and found a good independent about 10 years later that got it to its current state.

The Cartier was my daily for 5 years and it’s picked up lots of micro scratches and dings. It even lost the blue jewel on the crown and I didn’t even notice it until I went into Cartier store for cleaning. I’ve probably swung a million golf balls with it before I discovered TRF and learned that one should not do that to certain automatic watches. Well I guess ignorance is bliss as the watch continues to tick away after 15 glorious years (knock on wood). All watches acquired after that get TLC from me and none has the same character as this “first born”.

You did a great job back then that many fails to do and lose the value of the watches. There’s a big movement of experts and collectors in Europe that are taking legal actions against this Rolex practice of replacing old aged dials and hands with new parts.

Thank you again. That’s interesting to know. I always thought it was a bit hypocritical of Rolex to have vintage references featured on their home page when you scroll through, but knowing if you sent that same watch to them they would essentially destroy everything vintage about it.

This is my 1983 15003. I'm the second owner. I recently had the movement serviced by a local and trusted independent. He asked me if I wanted the crystal buffed and the watch polished, I politely declined and only requested the movement service. I like the way it looks. It's mine and I wear it a lot.

Been wearing a Rolex daily off and on for the last 35 years. I don’t still have my first Rolex but I do the Tudor lollipop that my parents gave me when I was 13. This is the one that started it all for me.

That's amazing. Also comforting to know that, if you wanted, they could restore it to looking brand new. Looks great

Some of you guys really wear your watches while golfing? there's no risk to the movement inside that way? I'd be worried I would get too used to it and wouldn't be able to swing properly without it, lol

All the time. The GMT I posted earlier in the thread not only was it daily worn for that period but golfed In almost every weekend for most of that time. Rolexes are pretty durable and meant to be worn, if it couldn’t take a simple activity such as golf it really defeats the purpose of it all.
