That’s actually quite a good price compared to Europe.

No one knows what rolex will do. If you’re on the fence like I was, should sell into hype. BLNR just doesn’t sing to me and with the new Pepsi I can already say it will get little to no wrist time. Glad I sold it 2 weeks ago and came out ahead. Don’t think it will be discontinued but with the waiting list the way it is, it’s probably going to command a small premium regardless.

I remember back before I got my BLNR in late 2016, trusted sellers had it in the mid to high 8k

Before the ceramic Daytona a used steel version sold in the 10-12k range. Now that they’re discontinued they sell around 15k. Based on that if the BLNR really is discontinued I’d say they’ll sell in the 10-12k range. So a 25-50% jump in value. Just a guess.

What can I say? I just love watches.
Perhaps the Waltona?

No the BLNR is not discontinued and I wouldn’t be so sure it will get the new movement either. They may produce it as is for a couple of years and then replace it with another GMT. I also don’t think the Pepsi will have much impact on BLNR demand. Many people like myself will still want both. Others will prefer the BLNR since it’s more youthful and modern than the Pepsi on jubilee. The BLNR is also more versatile than the Pepsi bezel.

What do you mean? Nothing is going back. The 3285 doesn’t make the 3186 garbage. The 3186 is tried and true and one of the best GMT movements ever made. Look at the people paying crazy money for the last 16710s with a 3186. ADs were selling NOS DD2s and DJ2s long after being discontinued. They will sell all of it either to buyers or the GM.

Buy the BLNR now, or Pepsi later, but either way tough to go wrong.
+1. Makes the BLNR a winner all around.

I’m lusting after the Pepsi, but the BLNR looks great in person. Love seeing it on my wrist, so sporty and versatile. Could easily be my one and only Rolex.

I follow his site daily. That one was posted at that price 3 days or so before Basel.

Two weeks ago he had one listed for $10,900. I know because I bought it with a very narrow negotiated margin. Some may call me dumb, fine. It ended up being $1k more than I would have paid at an AD with tax. My local AD had 7 paid deposits for the blnr. I was prob looking at a year wait. $1k divided by 12 months = $83/month. Well worth it for me not to wait. And you know what, I can’t take it off. The premium was worth it!!

If anything, Rolex will make a 126720BLNR with the Swiss “crown” Made just like the Deep Blue (which I also have). In that case, I am content to have Gen 1 of both. I don’t buy for future values, I buy for me.

As I said in another thread, if my Rolex collection goes up in value, my son will inherit some bad @$& watches. If they don’t, my son will still inherit some bad @$$ watches.

Rolex will probably use this year to evaluate demand for the BLNR against the SS BLRO.

The possible outcomes for the GMT line at Basel 2019
BLNR updated to a 126710 BLNR or BLNR discontinued
LN updated to 126710 LN but only available on Jubilee bracelet with the Oyster bracelet reserved exclusively for the PM GMT line for the next decade or so.

It's fake news. (I hate that expression, but in this case it is apt.) Ariel was just talking out his arse. Even his amended copy is just supposition. His guess about a potential disco is no more authoritative than any of ours. If he had any integrity, he'd just remove that line altogether, since he has no clue.

I'd say D/C due to overcrowded GMT offerings. Pepsi, Rootbeer, Rosegold, and Black. Just a guess of course.

Prices will not drop as supply has not increased via the official channels (AD).
