To each his own. I love the BLNR, yes it one of the few sportmodels you can find at AD's but that's also the case with the 116619, and has probably to do wit the price of a full white gold sportmodel. If I could afford it I would get one. Same for the new ss BLRO, love the jubilee strap also.

I'm sorry, this has been discussed to death. The colors are cranberry and grape.

Agreed. So much nowadays of I like a 42mm Sub, why won't Rolex give me a 42mm Sub perspective going around. There should be 2 sizes of the Sub, SD, and DSSD if they could have their wish. I don't want a Rolex for everything, a limited product range is ideal for a manufacture such as Rolex in my mind. Why dilute such classic models with endless variations. There is not DNA at that point.

And if someone doesn't like it, just don't buy it. I'm sure the majority of members here would rather discuss the watches they like than focus on the ones they don't. I'm a watch enthusiast, not a watch un-enthusist

I'm sure it'll look good in person. The quality will shine through.
Ceramic has no patina except for when it shatters and has to be replaced.

How can you be so sure without having seen one in the flesh? I reserve my final judgement for the day I get the call. In real life I expect the bezel to look more red and blue than what we see in some pictures.

The more people agree with you though, the shorter the waiting list. Win-win.

You need to physically see the watch first I think. Same applies to the people acting like the sky is falling if the watch is over-subscribed for the first year or so and they can't get it.

Indeed, this is a settled issue. If it's a beverage nickname, then it's the Cran-Grape. if people are looking for a superhero name instead, it's the Batgirl.

I quite like it that there are all these objections to the colours.
Maybe it'll take a bit of pressure off my order.

I tried on a WG BLRO this weekend and found the colors to be much different in person than in the photos. It looks much better in person in my opinion.

Although I'm a banned member and there's a price on my head wanted dead or alive on the OF, I still read the Modern Omega section earnestly, have no recollection of the regular folks and my friends over there ever mocking Rolex GMT Master II Ref 126710 BLRO bicoloured cerachrom bezel or painting a negative picture. On the contrary it's the readers on the TRF who are actualy making repetitive unsubtantiated claims without even examining the watch yet in the flesh in real time. Can any0ne confirm the New Pepsi GMT shown to the public at Baselworld 2018 weren't prototypes of the actual watch?
Can you PM me and show proof of a thread on the Modern Omega Section where the readers were throwing insults on the New Pepsi? I'm curious. As far as I know, my friends over there were asking when the first batches would arrive, they were eager to get their hands on the new Pepsi GMT. Maybe the insults came from another forum but I certainly doubt your allegations about the folks at the Modern Omega section where I once had 5000 posts+

The purplelish/pinkish colors of the new Pepsi were either intentional, or they're not. e.g., this might be a "version 1.0" and at some point Rolex will perfect their manufacturing to make a true blue/true red ceramic.

If the latter, I would hope they offer bezel swaps at a reasonable cost for anyone who bought the first generation.

I think not a single production piece has been seen by anyone? Pre production and prototypes.

I think it is early to judge the fine lines of the eventual product, which has not been seen by anyone.

Who knows but I find it hard to imagine that Rolex made the BLRO ceramic bezel and said "meh that'll do I guess"

He wasn't talking about members on OF, so I'm not sure why you're bringing that forum into this discussion. He was talking about Omega, the company. And I'm pretty sure he was joking.

I don't know if Rolex planned it this way or if it was a happy (?) accident, but the ceramic colors are much closer to the original colors of the Bakelite bezels. I'm more of a fan of the colors on the aluminum bezel inserts ala my 16710, but whatever. Perhaps the OP would be better with a 16700 or 16710.

The colors look "waxy," but perhaps that's just the photos.

I prefer the aluminum bezel and previous dial.
