116610LV - a little help from my friends...
Hello lovely people,
In my pursuit for the ref above, I found a dealer with a 2020 version of the Hulk, and I was sent the following pictures. I wonder if my eagle eyed friends could see if there’s anything untowards here please. I don’t like feeding the gray bonanza but I have no other choice available to me now... I’m never sure if the “m” should be next to the 300 or with a gap. I looked at some Chronos 116610LV 2020 models and I saw some with no gaps and some with gaps.... confusing! Anything else that doesn’t look right to you from these pictures, or that I should watch out for, please? The dealer is reputable with a bricks and mortar shop and many great reviews. So I’m bought on the seller as per the advice on here. However as this will be my very first gray purchase ever I want to make sure I won’t make an expensive mistake! Thank you all so much. |

I purchased my black Sub in 2019 via gray dealer in Malaysia. The dealer is quite reputable as well with bricks and mortar shop in Kuala Lumpur. Like you, I was super worried that I may be fooled into buying a fake, I also noticed that the "1000 ft = 300 m" differs from different years of production.
I showed this picture to the dealer, and he said he believed that earlier productions will have no gap between the "=" and "300m", whereas newer productions will have a gap and the "=" sign is slightly tilted. (Please feel free to correct me if this information is wrong.) For what it's worth. The 2019 Black Sub I bought had a gap in between an the "=" sign is slightly tilted, just like this Hulk you're showing. I'm by no means an expert, but I believe the one you posted is legit, especially having knowing that the dealer is reputable and has. a physical store. |

Here's a pic of my 2019 AD bought dial. Yours look fine, but as always, buy the seller.

The MK3 dial has been around since 2016. It looks darker than the previous ones under certain reflections.

You're welcome
Rolex is so mystical that you have to be interested to know.

The lettering on the 11 series Sub Date dials varies in font type and spacing. The lettering on my 2018 116610LV matches yours. I also bought mine through a grey dealer. It was then opened and authenticated by my AD.
In situations like this you should buy the seller. Who is the seller? The UK isn't all that big. Some of us on this forum may know them and possibly have used them. The credibility of the seller is the biggest unknown, assuming the watch checks out correctly - which yours appears to in as much as we can deduce from photos. P.S. If this thread vanishes, don't worry. It will reappear in the "Watch Out" section. |

Thank you all! Went to the dealer and collected!
It was Hadleigh and Royal, in Reigate. Great guy, everything very organised, no bad feeling at all. Thank you all! Much appreciated!! Very happy!! |

116610LV - a little help from my friends...
Despite my anxieties about buying gray (and not wanting to feed this market) it went well, and I am very happy. Watch is exactly like my back 2019 sub.
Hopefully the first and last this perilous route... Alex |

Lovely photos Alex. I do like the new 126610LV but, man, you can’t beat that dial. Congrats.

Thanks so much. I agree - the 126610LV is lovely - and my next purchase after the 116519LN that I’m waiting for. The 126610LV will be my partner’s. Tw the 116610LV - I missed getting one from an AD due to Covid. So ended up having to go gray - which I profusely dislike - but I love the dial too much and the worried of not at some point being able to get a 2020 watch easily, so I threw caution (and my watch buying principles) to the wind! :) |
