It will be sparkly I suspect. It’s the same bracelet as on the Apollo 11 (but 19mm) and it pops. That with the flash of the ceramic bezel will make for a noticible watch.

I know. It’s does seem a bit of a missed opportunity. One of the reasons I like omega is that, within reason, I can get the watch I want when I want. Will I consider waiting what may be a couple of years for one of these. Probably not. I’ll move onto the next piece as there will be another one along by then that may have turned my head.

Thankfully in my case the snoopy doesn’t float my boat.

I heard there’s only one watchmaker working on all the 321s...could be a reason for the delay with the ‘rona.

Yes, there are a team of them but apparently one per watch.

Doesn't seem like it though at the pace the watches are being released. Seems like less than 15 have been released since it was announced.

It's only overpriced if it doesn't sell at all or way below list price on the secondary market.

Looks like the opposite is true on both counts.

I laughed pretty hard when on this same forum around 7 months back there were posters who said that they "will get this piece for a discount on the grey market".

Riiiiight. lol.

Copy that. I know the Speedy has a great following and this ones drawing a lot of excitement. I've been looking to by my first and going back and forth now thinking I should just go for a hesilite big box and throw a JB Fostner on it. I mean, how can that be a mistake...that dome really looked great to me on the wrist.

I just noted this on another thread - it makes no sense why Omega cannot get its bracelets on par with the quality of its watches - and, crossing brands, on par with the Oyster. There have been multiple Omega pieces I just cannot get on board with because I hate the bracelet so much. I wear my Speedy on a strap, but that’s not the point.

Hopefully the “upgraded” bracelet becomes the normal bracelet on future Speedies/Seamasters. It would be nice if Omega upped its bracelet game across the board.

Original Eta was end of the year before factoring in covid delays.
I wasn’t at the front of the list, but was in before the second wave.

If I took a blind guess, I would anticipate mid 2021?

Totally agree on the bracelet...I'm fine with it on "lower" end pieces but when you start charging "top dollar" you need a bracelet to match

If we look back to pre modern oyster, omega arguably had the better bracelet over the 5 digit oyster for several years. The modern omega bracelet is as nice in fit and finish though it lacks the adjustment feature of the oyster

I could not disagree with this more. The lack of taper is awful, to me.

But to each their own. If you like it, great.

Construction is very nice.
If you prefer a taper that’s all good

Omega doesn't want to upset the vintage 321 market? To me that is what this watch's real competition is.

I agree. My only complaint was the lack of micro adjustment. After I modded the bracelet with the clasp which contains omega's "glidelock", the bracelet wears like a dream.

Looks like these are starting to roll out right now. Several people on Omega forums have posted they received their 321's.

Indeed, though only a handful of them were actually delivered. This is pretty much unobtainium at the moment an is likely to remain as such, not to mention the pandemic. This is mine on an alligator strap, fresh out the OB in Geneva Switzerland (I cannot recommend them highly enough). The "faux patina" is quite different in real life, very subtle off-white, it looks totally natural, actually brightening up the dial.

It looks very nice to my eye.

Did the OB throw the strap in with the price, or was it extra?
