Which 15500ST dial?

Hello,
I am planting to buy a 15500.
First: I like the blue one but I have enough very nice blue dials..
The silver dial is beautiful shiny but it’s not so sporty, with shorts in summer,
I need a dial which i can wear casual and elegant and which has enough details....
.—> I never saw a black or gray dial live.
Which dial would you choose and why??

Thanks a lot!!

Gray, more verstile. Plus you probably already have SS Rolex sports like sub or GMT, in which case you have many black dial watches already.

Whichever one you can get your hands on, lol. But seriously, I like the grey dial over the black (and prefer the white over both!).

I think the gray is beautiful and underrated.

Which 15500ST dial?

Out of those 2, I chose black, timeless classic. I felt the grey just slightly too monochromatic, but it is definitely different and beautiful too.

Chose the grey, was told by SA that the production quantity was lower thus rarer Up to you to believe that.

The grey shines very differently under different lighting, a very versatile watch. I had too many black watches, so the decision was easy for me

I am on the wait list for Grey. I don't think I will ever get the call though.

Vote for silver. Most gloriously shimmering dial AP makes and it can be as sporty as the other ones.

Grey as its something different from the many black dials out there. Can't go wrong with either though.

The gray can look monotonous and wash out in photos but really does look incredible in person. It is my vote.

Voted grey. For me the silver is too flashy and the black too dull.

I chose the grey. Photos don’t do it justice.

This is a tough one - I think they key is trying to handle both in person and see what speaks to you.

As others have noted the gray does appear washed out at times.
The black is classic - just depends what else is in your collection.

The Silver/White dial to me though is the winner.

I like the grey but make sure you like the size of the 15500 on your wrist. It does look very large on the pics of many of those who got one IMHO.

The market seems to be Blue > Gray > Silver > Black. Maybe swap Gray and Silver depending on the day of the week.

I agree with others. It ultimately comes down to what fits better in your collection. If you're more of a "less number of watches" type of guy and anything would fit in, I will also throw my vote in for the gray dial and say go with that one.

No offense to any of the pics here, but the gray dial does come off flat in almost all photos. In real life, I think the gray is simply stunning and just a wonderful watch for almost anybody.

Silver is fantastic. Sporty, formal, goes both ways and always looks different.

Silver/white for me as well. Regardless of premium I think it looks nicer than blue.

Going by C24 and other grey dealers, prices would suggest

Blue > Black > Grey > Silver

I think it is very personal preference which you like better on yourself. It is the reason AP offer the 4 choices in first place!

I’d go for silver as well (well I did) though that’s not an option.

If it will be your only daily watch then i would recommend black dial, otherwise grey would give a nice variety to your collection ( i have a white/silver highly recommend too )

PS dont recommend buying with out trying on the model on first

Blue is really hard to locate, so I’ve never seen one, I don’t know if it appears different from the hue of the 15202. I love the Gray in person, the reflection is really nice.

The black is classic and is also really nice depending on the lighting. The tapisserie pops in and differentiates it from other black dials.

I am biased though!

C24 looks more like: Blue>>>Grey=Silver=Black.
Price range from ~32k-~37k for any of the latter three.
But none of that matters—buy what you like.

In this picture, is the red string bracelet looped to the stem of the crown? if so, why, doesn't that make it less water resistant and put pressure on the stem if somehow something pulls on the rest of the string bracelet?

I vote for silver. goes perfectly with shorts or jeans.

and on a sunny day none of the other dials can outshine it. actually forget other dial, no other watch can outshine it....
