My two piece Rolex collection

Just two weeks ago I picked up the SD43. Have really been loving it lately, and the two tone of the Rubber B strap hasn't got much wear. The two tone was my first Rolex I received as a college graduation present from my grandparents, but unfortunately didn't get much wear as I thought the two tone bracelet drew to much attention to it for my personal taste. When I got the Rubber B that toned it down a bit, and I was able to give it more wrist time. Debating however if I should sell the two tone, and put that money towards either a BLNR, or Kermit/or Hulk which are two grail watches of mine. Just don't know if I'll regret getting rid of the first one I had that was a gift.

I appreciate the response. I think I’m just getting ahead of myself trying to rush to get all of my grail pieces, when I really should just enjoy what I have. And slowly add on over a couple years.

I have been exactly the same im on my 7th rolex now. Wish i still had all the others im forever looking for what i can trade in for next but i always regret it. Like you said i think its best to be patient and add watches over the years. I traded a sub that my wife brought me for my 25th birthday i really regret that trade. Il stick to these two now and add if i get the opportunity.

I'd probably end up regretting it later down the road also. I'm thinking now I'm gonna hold out for awhile. That's a nice two piece collection. I also have an Omega blue dial aqua terra "skyfall" model. Can't go wrong with either Rolex or Omega.

The 38.5mm Omega gets dwarfed by the Seadweller, but I think it still works somehow. haha

Thanks. After further consideration I decided I'm gonna hold onto it. TBH if I sold it I'd probably get around 10k for it. And most likely wouldn't be able to get one of the pieces I'm after at retail anyways. Better to just wait a year or so and continue to save and see how the market develops over that time.

Hi Skfall,

Keep your watch if it was a gift....

I had to sell my submariner 16880 which was my 21st Birthday present. Ever since that day, I have regretted it. I word to the wise, keep your watch, you won't get a second chance.

I would keep it since it has a lot of sentimental value. I got offered a Nice price for my sub date but since it was my parents present for my 30th birthday it couldn’t convince me. And I am very happy with my decision. On the other side, i sold my omega speedmaster professional last Month and didn’t regret it for a minute. The speedmaster had No sentimental value to me.

Apart from all the advices, you have a beautiful Watch collection!

I now have three watches. One from my dad (1675/3), one from my grandparents (Quartz Seiko Diver 7849-7001) and the first one I just bought myself (Omega 2234.50). My dad thinks I should sell the 1675/3 given the increased crazy value. Nope. Grandparents are gone now and the Seiko reminds me of them. Not going to sell that one either. I may have just bought the Omega but it would go if needed, no problem. Too much emotional attachment to the other two, even though it is just a watch…
