Lady Datejust 69173 (1987?) Find #1 of 2 - what do you think?

Hi guys!

I found two Lady Datejusts at a local Jeweler where they have been sitting in a box. Both seem to be "inherited" timepieces, left with the jeweler for sale years ago. Both watches run, but are hard to wind.

Could you have a look if these are authentic and share your thoughts with me? The date wheel on this one looks unfamiliar to me, but I am not an expert for Lady Datejusts.

Here is what I found out about the first one:

Lady Datejust Steel/Gold 26mm
Ref.#: 69173
Serial #: 9655xxx
Date range: Early 1987
Dial: “Swiss Made” (white with golden Roman numerals)
Date Wheel: Bold Font
Cal. 2135
Bracelet: 69173 (13mm)
Bracelet Stamp: 62523D.18
Clasp Code: L6
Endlinks: 468B

Also, with thousands of them on Chrono, is there a market for these anymore? I sometimes feel that the time for these has passed.

Thank you for your feedback and I will post the second one in a minute.

Its real but needs a really thorough going over which with a bracelet rebuild and complete overhaul, it may exceed the watches value.

Due to its really small size, there isnt a huge market for either of them. The solid gold model will have more secondary value because of its melt price.

They look authentic to me. But ultimately doesn’t matter because no one wants these. I mean like no one (possible exception of my grandma, though she might decline). Plus they’ll need overhaul.

There is always someone interested in a two tone lady DJ... Price will determine whether it sells or sits.. As far as the date wheel, it is genuine.
