The white Explorer looks great but the black steals the show for me. I can’t really remember if the dial was glossy or Matt ( just too many watches in a short one hour period ) but I am sure all of that data is available already.

My favorites in no order of preference were: two tone Explorer , Explorer 2 black, black Skydweller on jubilee, grey sunburst DD40 ( although really just for the President bracelet, otherwise DJ41 with same dial looks just as gorgeous at say 1/3 the price , and the tommy bahama dial DateJust ( Rolex, please make this in 41)... And last but not least: all of the damn Daytonas.

Hahaha... yeah it doesn’t have to be a woman, but it does go well with a lot of jewelry that women wear and it will be right at home with the diamond bands and bracelets.

Hi and thank you. Her wrist is about 6.5 to 6.75 I think. But she wears her watches higher up on he wrist so she wears a 39-40 mm very well.

Last opinion of mine is that (I know you said you have to see them in person to appreciate and I own two meteorite dials so I completely understand and agree with you) the Daytona really doesn’t suit the meteorite dial as much as the GMT or daydate too much going on as I feared.

I agree. The three sub dials of any chronograph make the dial too busy already. Lots of numbers and tachymeter and all floating around everywhere in and around the dial. No need to add to the clutter by adding random lines and texture of meteorite dial.

I love meteorite dials and couldn’t afford one in Rolex so I got one from the new micro brand “Zenea” that I am truly enjoying. (You can see my Instagram for pics of that watch ). I think a nice open space dial is much better suited to meteorite textured than an already divided chronograph.

And I had become very close to adding my name at the AD for one! Again, supports the fact that you have to see every one in real life before deciding.

The "Tommy Bahama" DJ36 looks amazing, and is definitely a consideration. I certainly don't see any updates that I dislike. The black Explorer 2 somehow "pops" more than the previous model.

I was on the fence with the new 36mm Explorer, but after seeing these photos/videos, I have to admit, it looks fantastic on the wrist. As do the patterned dial DJs and SkyD on jubilee. Thanks again!
