Rolex Daily Wear
I plan to wear my Rolex every day and would love to see how other people’s watches have fared over the years.
Could people post a pic of their watch and how long they have been wearing it? |

Extremely hard to focus on daily wear in photos
This is the only watch, worn by my dad, daily for at least 5 years. All mine are rotated and have plenty of wear. As you can see, in the photo, the wear doesn’t come across. This is pretty much what everyone else sees. A virtually pristine watch. Only the owner noticed the big scrape on the lug, all the scratches on the lugs if you zoom in, chips out of the fluted bezel. |

Here is my 14060M from 2000. I’ve owned it for 6 years worn all day almost every day. Sleeping, showering, swimming, boating, yard work, golf, traveled to multiple Caribbean Islands, etc. You get the point, I bought it to wear it and enjoy.

Rolex Daily Wear
About 4 years of wearing my Sub almost on a daily basis, I only have a couple minor scratches on my bracelet. I can’t see them in certain lighting conditions. Otherwise the watch is perfect.
BTW, I work in an office. I am relatively active, but I don’t work out with it. I use my Apple Watch for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am wearing the same year 2000 Sub watch right now (sadly it gets too little wrist time with me) - Yours looks really, really good - enjoy in good health! |

Since I bought this in 2015, was almost my daily go to Rolex. Last July I bought a Bluesy, I still wear the D Blue but not quite daily.

Wear it, don't buy a loupe, don't stare at it closely in harsh light. You will enjoy your watch and life much more lol.

I’ve worn this every day for 25 years until acquiring my 2nd Rolex exactly 25 years to the day, completely by coincidence. Worn in all kinds of conditions from tuxedo to mowing the yard to scuba diving. Sure, it has some scratches and dings, but I don’t notice them and really don’t care. I have it to wear and love it as much today as I did when it was given to me a quarter century ago. It’s now at RSC for a little TLC, it’s 2nd trip there. So wear yours, enjoy it, and don’t worry about it getting some patina. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I have five Rolex watches and wear them every day. Even the real expensive ones. They are kept on the winder when not in use except for the Oysterquartz (obviously) and the 1966 Oyster Perpetual (doesn't do well on the winder).

This. The more you wear it the more you’ll enjoy it. Possible damage done to your watch is reversible, quality time spent whiteout it is lost forever. Mine after one year and half, not a single big scratch yet, no loupe viewing though :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This 116300 Datejust II is my very first Rolex and also daily wear for almost 9 years (although I rotate it occasionally). As you can see I do not particularly baby my watches , also due to my work I frequently engage in manufacturing productions and physical activities.
After 9 years of wear I've sent it to RSC for an overhaul & polish, it came back pretty much like brand new:

Absolutely love a thread like this! Having recently required my grail (124060), I love to wear it but not as frequently as I know I should... Facts of the matter are that while its sitting in a box collecting dust, someone else should really be enjoying it! I am a watch collector but part of me is in dispute with this strategy as I hate waste. Sometimes I think it's incredibly wasteful to have 4 wonderful, luxury timepieces (2 Tudor & 2 Rolex) that don't get worn, used and enjoyed as much as they should, especially my two Rolex.
Great post and great pictures everyone, thanks! |

Wear my date just in the fish and chip shop everyday, been wearing it since I got it in September last year. Has a few scratches and a deep scratch from being dropped in the driveway. I’m just glad I got the super jubilee bracelet so the scratches from leaving on the table etc aren’t too bad.

It was heart breaking for me, super excited to use my new watch stand. Dropped the watch getting out of my car, juggling the watch stand box. That's why the watch is now either on the stand or on mt wrist, never in my clumsy hands

I have the same rule. I only take it off to wipe it down over my bed or a padded surface on my desk. |

The datejust was my daily wear for almost 6 years. Now my dad wears it
I now wear the sub not as a daily but alternate daily. Datejust has many scratches and marks. I will never polish. Sub tt specially the gold gets lot of marks and scratches. Sent from my GM1901 using Tapatalk |
