What watch will you wear to the Miami GP?

Hey F1 fans! With the news of Formula 1 inking a 10 year deal with Miami to host a street F1 circuit. What will be your watch for the weekend? Since Rolex has been a main sponsor for as long as I can remember, what’s your personal choice to represent the brand and welcome F1 to the Sunshine State?

SubC and probably a BRLO here.

Well whatever event you are going to watch, the watch you was wearing would not know or care what you was wearing, and like all watches serve one purpose to tell the time on the wrist.

I'm going to the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg this weekend and I'm planning on wearing my Coaxial Speedmaster. Gotta be a chrono...

F1 does nothing for me. Same guys win every time, same manufacturer, whoever gets the pole usually wins. To me F1 is boring

I’m definitely attending. Speedmaster or Submariner will likely be on my wrist. So it might not be a Rolex.

I lived in Miami for many years. With all the crazies and dirt bags down there I wouldn’t wear anything but a Timex!!

Just kidding (kinda), nothing but love for the 305.

From my humble collection I’d have on my white Milgauss with the (not yet purchased) orange rubberB band. Very Miami vibe

"Street" circuit

Though I'm glad the US got another race I really wish it wasn't a parking lot GP. We have so many amazing circuits here that one could be upgraded to grade 1 and host a race. Instead we get a stadium parking lot.

we have a pretty solid F1 thread in the open forum if anyone wants to drop in https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=556560

If only...

There is just one grade 1T FIA F1 track outside of COTA - Barber Motorsports Park.

All the rest require millions $$$ and no promoter willing to commit that money + F1 commitment $$$. I am with you about choosing a better track. I’d choose Road America or VIR for the true road course experience.

Problem there is no Level 1 trauma center within FIA range and nobody putting $$$ into that.

BTW can you imagine the traffic on the little 2 lane roads that lead to those tracks

As for the watch to wear - who hasn’t already planned for this one???

Palm trees, Miami - Miami, palm trees...

Edit: or better yet, Golden Palm encircled with Diamonds...

Barber is grade 2. Indy road course is the only other grade 1 track in the US. But there are tons of grade 2 tracks and the cost to upgrade could be outweighed by a long term deal to host an F1 race.

Gotta be the gold Daytona; especially when invited to the Rolex suite.

So exocitosis for this event. Haven’t really thought about what watch particularly I would wear, but so glad F1 is in a different US venue finally.
