Panerai vs JLC

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at PAM 317 vs JLC 8 day perpetual vs JLC ultra thin perpetual.

They are similar in price and I'm having a hard time choosing one...

Any suggestion?
Thanks!

All 3 are very different watches, really depends on what you are looking for. The JLCs are much dressier than the PAM, and they have different complications as well.

Between the 2 JLCs I prefer the ultra thin perpetual as I like the cleaner dial and thinner case.

Between the JLC and PAM though, I think that goes to personal preference on the style and type of watch you want to get.

All 3 watches are awesome. I'd say PAM if you want something cool & casual and JLC for classic & classy. I would love any one of them. Good luck!

I like the JLC ultra thin perpetual.

Been eyeing the stainless steal version. Amazing that you can get a high quality perpetual from under $20K.

Hodinkee wrote a nice article about this reference.

Choose some other panerai as the 317 is prone to breakage because its a ceramic

Get a PAM 190/197/198 they are all Panerai watches with great JLC movement. It's a 2 for 1 deal. Great looking Panerai with some JLC DNA.
