Gotcha. I was wondering because I thought that the sdk4 came with the sub clasp. I didn’t know if you were aware of a different variant or iteration either at the beginning or the end of the reference lifecycle.

SD4K 116600 has a divers extension AND the clasp was the same with the current Sub C

The 116600 for sure will be one of them. I don’t think the deep sea James Cameron will be in demand as a collector’s watch. Too many made... it’s like everybody has one.

SD4K - due to the limited production
Any YM2, Milguass z-blue - seen in every AD display, not big sellers

You never own a Rolex, you merely invest in one to safeguard the future generation.

Those who know the old TRF are hoping these topics pertaining to “investing” and money can have their own sub thread as they spam the entire board these days.
The ‘largely banter about investments’ comment is untrue. I read all sorts of posts and enjoy some and pass on others. I agree with an earlier poster that I’m sure the authoritarian in you would be happier if you controlled every conversation but isn’t it just a little more fun having a lot of topics to scan? Read those that look interesting. Pass on this that don’t. It’s a forum. Like in Rome, ca. 14 AD. it’s where lots of topics are discussed.

Rolex watches retain value, more as a storage of wealth. not necessarily as an 'investment.' If one has all the usual investments covered (401k, emergency funds, etc). I think a small core of investment in collectibles can serve as a hobby and 'store of wealth'.

SD4K has diver extension that can be removed

The clasp is same as Submariner

From what I’ve seen the prices of 5 digit subs have been rising steadily over the last 2 years and can’t see it going down. There seems to be hope that 6 digit prices will steady once supply improves but who knows if that will ever happen.

I don’t know about the 116600. Everybody is shouting from the rooftops that this is it. The one. A Rolex 5711, if you will. Sure the price has gone up but I’m not seeing a run on this. If this is such a sure deal people would be buying these up and there would be a big movement on the price.

Too chunky for me.

The 16610LV is the best investment piece IMHO. Rolex is very particular about this watch and won’t even sell independent watchmakers parts for it. Will only go up in value.

Yep, same with 16710. But the 16610LV is better bet. I’d love to do the 50/50 combo–SD43 and 16610LV.

The prices of the 16610LV early models (Y and F series with the famous „fat four“) go up in price on a monthly basis... no end in sight. Very soon, these ones will no longer be available for under USD 20k.
