Question about Panerai Colored Rubber Straps
Does anyone know if the new colored tunnel rubber straps are significantly softer than the old black tunnel rubber straps? I typically don't wear the tunnel rubber straps because they are not as soft or as pliable. Last year I got a brown one when I purchased the 911 and noticed that it was slightly softer, but not as soft as I would've wanted. However, last month I was able to try on a new orange accordion strap and that was significantly softer compared to the old black accordion strap I got with my 305 (very comfortable).
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. |

I've noticed that the more recent ones are soft and "tackier" / sticky in some sense (not necessarily more comfortable?. Than the c.2000s ones) But what's noticeably frustrating is threading the strap through the keepers. Maybe over time this improves w skin oil and wear

So the OEM brown tunnel rubber strap that came with my 911 is soft but the OEM military green tunnel strap I purchased a few months back is a completely different feel and not as soft/flexible as the brown one. It’s like it’s made of a completely different rubber. I was a bit disappointed but I use it anyway because it looks good on the 911

For what it is worth, I have noticed that they have also added an additional strap keeper with the OEM rubber straps. They used to only have one.

Interesting... my brown strap that came with the 911 only has one rubber keeper.

I have a fairly large wrist and whenever I put the tunneled rubber strap on my PAM563, there is always excess strap that sticks out and catches on my clothes. I think it's a good idea. |
