HELP needed- bought used 114200 hands seem off

Hi there everyone. I’m new to the forum. I recently bought a used “Air King” OP 114200 but upon further examination, the hands seem to be the wrong lengths. They seem to be OP hands and not the usual air king hands. The luminous material doesn’t glow at all on the hour hand, the hands seem to be too close in length by a few mm compared to other Rolex’s, wondering if this is an issue. Everything else seems to be perfect tho.

Any help would be appreciated.

I agree .. the hands look the correct length but they seem to be quite "Wide".

Also I dont recall there being Lume on the hands on that model and dial.

Serial number and model numbers check out, haven’t opened case. But the seller has hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Rolex’s in stock and is pretty reputable. Said maybe special order or something but I dunno. Just seems like the hour hand is too long in proportion to the minute hand and seems fishy lume doesn’t work on hour hand. Not sure if I should make a big deal out of it or not. He had another identical watch same dial, but 8 years older with the plain silver hands, no lume, but the hour hand is about 2-3mm shorter, same length minute and second hands

Looks like some amateur/idiot "serviced" the watch and put the wrong hands on it. I would return it for a full refund.

I agree that you should return it.

Rolex would never send it out that way no matter who wanted a “special order”.

Just send the seller this pic and you have all the evidence you need.

Yeah, there are models with luminous hands, though, but even then they are the wrong lengths, and luminous hands don’t match. So frustrating.

There were some lumed hands reported on a few years ago. They all came from the same source as far as I knew. The orange and blue/orange dials had no lume and neither did the hands. It was always represented to me that these watches had been monkeyed with.

I’m certainly willing to accept these hands are from the factory if someone has definitive proof.

Interesting. Thx for the info. Debating whether to get the hands swapped or just return it and search for something similar...

If the rest of the watch checks out and you got a decent deal for it, just get the hands changed at service?
