Saw it in the metal in a restaurant in Knightsbridge and while I love the Yacht-Master reference (I have a SS/PL and a SS/Rhodium), it was the first time I'd seen the rose gold in the wild.

In the subdued, flattering lighting of the restaurant, that watch glittered. It was so beautiful.

Another case where even the brilliant Rolex photographers can't do justice to one of the company's creations.

This watch really is a stunner in-person. One thing hard to appreciate through photos is the contrast of the matte black dial and glossy numerals on the bezel. The matte dial works so well here with the red font and rose gold-bordered hour markers.

In my opinion, this an ideal sporty weekend watch. Just the right amount of flash that isn't super loud or in your face.

I'm waiting on a BLRO right now and should be getting one very soon. I plan to get rid of my BLNR at that point and put those funds towards either a TT CHNR or stretching a bit farther and going with this piece.

The 116655 was the Rolex I actually fell in love with that brought me to really know and love the brand. Sadly my funds couldn’t accommodate it, so I went with the 116622 rhodium and couldn’t have been happier.

I really think the YM line is very under appreciated for what you’re getting.

Funds are my issue as well. I just bought back a 35mm SS/PL YM that I’d traded for a 40mm version of the same watch. I’m going to give it to my sister who’s always loved Rolex. She’s gotten through a rough patch in life through grit and determination and I’m going to surprise her with it.

Had I the funds, though, had I the funds...

My wife has the 116655 and it is really an awesome watch to look at.
The RoseGold is so visually satisfying in low light. Not as loud as YG. Soft and subtle tones.
Plus the Matte background and shiny numbers on Bezel

Matte Dial
Really a lot to admire

Being that she wears it 24/7 I get to view it from a different perspective. Its like seeing one in the wild everyday

I’m not an Oysterflex guy either, so that’s another reason I got the RG Daytona on Bracelet... both are

Love that watch, but like changes in 126655:
- 3235 movement (70hr power reserve and accuracy)
- Glidelock clasp

I tried on the WG 42 and the Glidelock made such a difference! So incredibly comfortable, and smart to not have to perfectly fit the OF bracelet.

That said, I do think the Everose 40mm is far more interesting:
- Gilt print
- Red “Yachtmaster” print

The WG (although I prefer 42mm) seems just too black and white (monochrome).

It's a great piece. Surprisingly understated, and very comfortable. I loved it for the few months I had it, but ultimately decided to go for the Daytona as I prefer the overall aesthetics more.

If buying now, I'd wait for the Basel 2019 126655 with the longer power reserve and the most important change, the Glidelock! It is a huge improvement for the Oysterflex YM models!

That makes no sense whatsoever.
You can’t justify the price for the OF, but if you added a PM bracelet the cost goes up 10k. It’s not like the OF and bracelet are the same price.

There is something about this that is so modern for Rolex. I think its the matt dial and OF combo.
